The Taurus 66 I received functions well and is very accurate. I believe I see high quality in the manufacturing and assembly/feel in this pistol is exceptional. I feel that much of the negative reviews are not deserved. I believe it is a great value compared to other similar pistols, especially with a lifetime warranty. I briefly considered a Rossi RM66 but the lack of accessories, just a six shot cylinder and only 1 year of warranty helped me choose the Taurus 66 - - and I am very happy with my purchase! I would strongly encourage anyone looking for a GREAT VALUE in a .357 revolver should DEFINATELY, without a doubt, purchase one of these!

Nice fit, nice finish. A quality pistol at a great price point. A little heavier due to longer barrel, but it attenuates the recoil a bit with the .357.Not ever going to be CC pistol, but a great hip- piece for the field or range. Bud's service is second to none. Fast delivery to FFL.

I love this gun. The recoil of shooting 38 special out of this gun is almost non existent. The 357 mag ammo has alittle more punch but its not offensive to shoot.

The Taurus model 66 seems to be very well made. Haven’t shot it yet but is a very nice looking gun. I would purchase it again if I had to start over!

Very nice revolver to have on the hip or on the nightstand. With a farm and bear and coyote waltzing in I find it a necessity to have on the ready.

I'm very excited to own the Taurus 66 with a six inch barrel, and seven chambers!!! I used the layaway program and purchased this beauty over a couple of months. It is a great service from Bud's for us working folk, thanks! I've seen youtube videos of guys hunting deer and even antelope with these six inch 357 pistols, so I know this could be a survival firearm, especially with the fact that you can hunt small game with 38 Special. I made some hot 357 reloads with Hornady XTP hollow points and also some home-cast wadcutters in 38 Special. I was quite accurate with the 38's at 20 yards, but less so with the 357. I need to train for the muzzle blast and recoil. But, I was hitting a paper plate 95% of the time, so I think I could use it for self-defense, no problem. I also found a vintage quick-draw shoulder holster on Ebay and luckily it was a good fit. I have a speed-loader coming and also plan to purchase some wood grips for it. My hands are small and I want a grip that does not cover the backstrap, so I can reach the trigger better. This will help me with the double-action shooting. Also, I plan to mainly carry 38 Special loads with high-quality hollow-point bullets for more accuracy and less hearing damage in case of self-defense use. I am so fortunate to be able to own this tool. It is a dream come true. Psalm 144:1

I had my new Taurus at the range this weekend and it was so sweet to shoot! Very accurate and I believe it has less recoil with magnums than my ruger gp100!!!

Gun arrived exactly as expected, and two days early! Couldn't be happier, will definitely be back to use the range!

I have been looking at the Taurus 66 for some time, finally made the purchase. I'm very pleased with the quality of this revolver. It's heavy enough to soften the recoil a bit as the 357 magnum has a kick. I was able to shoot a tight pattern in single action. And as always, Bud's shipped it right out.

overall a great revolver for the money, the only down side of this gun is the front sight, it is a pressed in piece of orangish plastic that doesn't show up well and offers no other replacements. But getting past that it is very well balanced, has a very consistent trigger and will shoot some respectable groups,

Taurus 66 Years ago had one. Quality still above average. I prefer the 6” barrel when firing 357 mags. Would recommend and buy again. Gerald L

Haven't fired it yet, but it seems to be a good quality handgun. Being a 7 shot 6 inch revolver with a full barrel lug, it is much lighter than I was expecting. I did notice a small amount of play in the cylinder with the hammer down, but it locks up tight when the hammer is pulled back. I don't know if this is normal for revolvers. I owned a few 357's 20 some odd years ago, and don't remember if they were like this. The only negative I can say about this gun is the red insert on the front sight could be brighter. I would definitely buy one again.

Really fun to shoot, as its size means less kick. Can you say Dirty Harry? Shot the 38 special fine, but had one 357 spent shell stuck in the gun. Need to clean and see if it occurs again.

I have been looking for a new revolver that was not super expensive and still be well built, after looking at the reviews on the Taurus model 66 and videos of it I decided on picking one up, it looks and feels really good I haven't had it out to shoot it yet but that will be happening soon, I have never purchased a firearm online before but Buds made it really easy to do so. It was in my price range and shipping was really quick, I appreciated that they kept me informed of my order from start to finish, I will be ordering more from Buds in the future they are awesome to deal with.

Excellent revolver, 100 plus rounds and no malfunction whatsoever, my sole complaint; and that's on me since this was my first and only revolver, I found cleaning it somewhat difficult, other than that great buy.

I bought this as a sidearm for Deer hunting. It's solid and well built. I also put some wood aftermarket grips and that makes it sparkle. Definitely makes you feel safe knowing you're packing a 357 magnum. 1234567. Thanks Bud's
