This is one awesome pistol. I shoot the Springfield XD 40 way better then my Ruger SR9 and my Taurus 24/7 compact 40. I'm a Springfield fan for sure. I like the 40 so much I just went back to Buds Gun Shop and bought the another sub-compact in 9mm. I would recommend the Springfield XD model to anyone. Also wanted to mention that the Springfield 9mm that I just order is my 4th purchase with Buds Guns Shop and won't be my last.. Thanks Buds for taking great care of you're customers. Great gun...GREAT PRICE! In the final process for CCW License. Researched reviews on this gun for selection of concealed carry and all were pretty highly recommended. So far about 300 rounds with no jams or cycling issues on a selection of ammunition. For a sub-compact was surprised at how little muzzle lift I experience. With shipping, transfer, and paperwork Buds still beat my local dealers by about $75.00.

I bought this Springfield XD40 for the wife. She's familiar with Glock 9mm and 40 S&W cal's, so there were no surprises. I have several Glocks in three calibers, so this XD was just as accurate for both of us at the range. The grip safety is similar to the 1911 models, so that presented no problems either. Overall this is an excellent substitute for a Glock 40 S&W cal, priced at a bit higher. I was very impressed with this XD from first take down for the initial cleaning all the way through to it's shooting accuracy. I would buy it again, knowing what I know. Bud's was also once again excellent, from start to finish!!!

This is a very nice little pistol, I am quite pleased with it. My only desire would be that this gun was thinner and with smoother contours; it is quite a chunk to conceal small-of back. I still find my Colt Commander to be more comfortable riding back there. I am overall very pleased, though.

Ordered this on Friday and got it today, Great service as usual from Bud's. So far I've ran 50 rounds through it without a glitch, great accuracy for a sub-compact. It is a little heavier than I expected but that also helps stabilize the muzzle flip a bit. The holster, magazine holder, cable lock and mag loader are great accessories that come with it Overall I'm very pleased with this package, great quality from Springfield, you can't go wrong wuth Bud's or Springfield!

I bought this gun having doubt it would be any better then others I have had. Boy was I wrong. This turned out to be a great gun. It looked new when I received it. Buds was quick but UPS wasn't quick enough. I am planning on buying it a twin soon. My wife is thinking about getting one as well. Buds also beat the best price in town with FFL fees. Great job guys keep up the good work.

By far the best handgun I have shot. I have only owned it a few weeks and have been the the range twice. I have put about 600 rounds through it total and not a single misfire. I have used target rounds, JHP, lower end and top of the line and every shot has been better than the last one. Great accuracy for a 3" barrel with a .40 round. Perfect carry gun. My only problem is now I want to buy an XD in 9MM and .45 too. I better bring my wife flowers.

Great little gun. Perfect for carry due to it's size and weight. More accurate than any 4 or 5 inch barrel gun I have shot and less kick than my 9MM. I think I'm going to trade my 9 in to buy a Springfield in 9 MM to go with my .40. Dirty Harry can keep his Smith & Wesson. Give me a Springfield.
