Awesome firearm by CZ. Made to run steel cased ammo. Love it! Hard to find, but Bud's had it covered. Way to go CZ and Bud's.

Works very well. Only complaint is the screws will get loose over time.

Nice little Rifle absolutely love it!

I’m a CZ fan and this little carbine is as good as it gets. It’s actually made to shoot steel case ammo and holds 3” groups at 200 yards. I have not been able to try 300 yard shots yet but I feel it will be ok. The fit and finish are very nice and it is just plain old fun to shoot.

For starters, I'm a big fan. I have several CZ products. The 527 in 762x39 is a great shooter. In addition to feeding any type of ammunition, I get 1.5" groups at 100 yds. The Hornady "zombie" killers are my go-to hunting round. I live and hunt in wooded areas in the Sierras. It's a fantastic brush gun. The fit and finish were better than expected. Topped with a quality 3x9 it simply can't be beat.

So I bought this years ago, I'm terrible about leaving reviews. Got to say it is an amazing bolt action rifle. Very accurate, low recoil, sweet trigger out of the box, and it takes even low grade cold war surplus ammo reliably. It is just a pleasure to shoot. Can't believe the prices I see for these now. If you can snag one for a good price I recommend picking one up.

Great handling little gun, very accurate and high quality. Does not like steel cased ammo tho so if you plan on using it for plinking with steel cased ammo you may want to reconsider, does not like ejecting the steel. Brass cycles fine and if extremely accurate. Great little gun!!

This rifle is gorgeous and its my first bolt action. I put a nikkon on it and this things my baby. Plan on doing some hunting with it even though its 7.62x39mm but Thats why I like it.

I've shot a hundred bolt action rifles, and handled many more than that over the years. This one is the best-designed I have ever seen, and it eats any kind of ammo with no differences in accuracy. At 100 yards I get 1" groups with cheap surplus ammo, and that's with open sites and a good ocean breeze over the range. I cannot recommend it enough, and I wish I'd had one years ago.

Unfortunately, CZ has discontinued this rifle. But I managed to purchase one from Buds. It came with a loose rear sight, but just needed to be tighten. Otherwise this is a very accurate rifle, for what was once "cheap" fodder this rifle makes steel case ammo perform like handmade target loads, good grief I don't know why they decided to stop making this rifle mine works good. Buds does a good job for smooth online purchasing.

I am very happy with my CZ 527 in 7.62x39mm. The quality coming from CZ is outstanding! The rifle cycles cheap russian made ammo without a problem. Surprisingly accurate as well!

Really nice bolt action carbine. Compared to a Ruger American ranch in 7.62x35, the fit and finish on the CZ is much nicer and the accuracy is also a bit better. Love the iron sights on the CZ once their sighted in. Not too big on front sight adjustment method but once it's set you're good. It's a really light rifle as well. I don't hunt or camp but it would be a good small and light carbine to carry along. The preset trigger option is pretty nice too.

This Rifle is the great quality Craftsmanship that is expected from the Czechs. This rifle is very well made and high quality.
The action is smooth and truly is a Mauser action that is scaled down.
The fiber optic sights are excellent and capable of less than one inch groups right out of the box with a great sight picture.
The stock has very good checkering to get a firm grip with very nice looking wood along with a rubber buttpad that really grips to your shoulder and keeps the rifle in place.
The set trigger has to be the best feature on this rifle with it being able to be set to about 1 pound of pull after being pushed forward. Grouping your shots is very easy with the set trigger. The trigger without being set is also very good and crisp.
This rifle will shoot any 7.62x39 that is put into the sturdy steel magazine. I shot East German Training ammo, Tula, Wolf, Brown bear Subsonic and Monarch with not issues at all.
The only downside to this rifle is the scope rings are expensive and not the traditional American scope rings. That is the only downside.
If you want a lighweight Rifle that is very cheap to shoot that still has good power behind it to hunt medium sized game with, target shoot, and plink around this Rifle is a phenomenal for all those purposes. This rifle also makes a great companion to your AK47.

Beautiful rifle. Beautifully made. Smooth, handy, very nice shooter. Unfortunately the only way to mount a scope on it is with the proprietary CZ Steel rings which weigh as much as the rifle itself. Given the short range limitations of the .762 x 39 round, you are probably better off using the excellent iron sights.

All I can say is this CZ 527 Carbine is an excellent bolt action rifle in 7.62x39 caliber. The workmanship is of superb quality and the Turkish walnut stock is beautiful. The rifle is light and has great features like a short bolt action, adjustable fiber optic front sight, adjustable and set trigger. The accuracy is right on and groups easily. It is also designed to shoot steel cased ammo which makes it economical as well. As always, Buds delivered with fast shipping and tracking updates even during the busy holiday season.

I love this little gun. The sights leave much to be desired but with an LPVO it is supremely useful. CZ's fully adjustable single set trigger is awesome! The stock is kind of ugly and the metal finish was functional but not perfect.

Very well made lite handy rifle. The action will get smoother over time. It is a little sticky out of the box. Only con is it does not come with scope rings.

Sweet shooter but I hate that it has a fluted barrel...I like classic guns with one price barrels and this is a modern barrel and just not made like they used to be

This is a quality product. Let's face it, most of us are not going to be taking shots past 200 yards, so who cares if its effective range is limited to that distance? My rifle shoots 1 MOA groups with the Hornady 123 grain SST bullets, and even the really cheap stuff shoots about 1.5 MOA. I've recently begun reloading with the Barnes TSX, 123-grain copper bullets, and they also give me 1-inch groups. And best of all, I can practice for 25-cents a shot with the cheap stuff.

The Craftsmanship and Quality of this rifle is superb and the accuracy is better than I will ever be. I only shot a few hundred times and I already want to buy another one. Get one or two you won't regret it. Buds is a great choice to buy from.
