COMPLETELY UNSAFE JUNK! Received the gun and noticed immediatly that it had the worst troigger EVER. test fired 26 rounds before cylinder latch locked up on a loaded gun. Sent back to charter for refund. Junk

I’ve had this going on six years and carry it every day. I bought this to replace another revolver that weighed almost twice as much. I use it as a backup on duty and for off duty carry. I carry it in a pocket holster. It is so light I don’t even notice it. I’vs shot a couple hundred rounds through it (mostly Department Quals.) with no issues. The grips are comfortable, compact and mitigate recoil effectively. Much better than the previous revolver I carried. The only issue I’ve ever had is after several years off constant carry the cylinder retention screw came loose. A little blue loctite fixed that. It’s not going to win any beauty contests but I trust it with my life.

I had to drop 2 stars, my revolver functions well and is accurate as a 2 inch 38 should be. I am very picky with my revolvers, I looked this over very well and noticed the Hornady and Remington rounds seemed to fit very loose in the 5 cylinder holes. I tried 3 of my S&W 642,649 and 686 the same rounds fit as they should. I gauged the five holes in Charter Arms and they were all larger than my S&W revolvers. Again the Charter fired OK, I would NO WAY fire aluminum case rounds due to they might split and spray bad stuff in my face! I only fire brass case rounds so its not a problem for me.
Problem two, I purchased to pocket carry in De Santis rubber holster same as I carry 642 S&W in. The Charter fits perfect but, the photo showed a set of compact hard rubber grips. When I received revolver it came with large soft rubber grips not pocket friendly. I ordered the compact grips from Charter Arms web site, twenty eight dollars and 6 days later they arrived in mail, fit was perfect.
My revolver arrived clean and untested! Why do they not test product? Other than sending 28 bucks for correct grips I never contacted Charter about any problem.
I was going to purchase a new 44 bulldog and retire my 1979 model, I've decided not to buy another Charter Arms due to above problems.
I've used Buds for years with good service from all employee's.

Great revolver. Nice fit and finish. Smooth trigger. Accurate. Couldn't ask for more in a concealed carry revolver.

I purchased this revolver Feb 2018. I have put about 150 rounds through it so far. I have had zero problems. For the money, this is the best .38 Special revolver on the market hands down. I use this as a backup gun while on duty and an off duty carry when my Glock 17 isn't feasible. Hickok45 led me to BudsGunShop and I will definitely be a return customer.

Great concealed carry option! Did a quick cleaning and got it to the range. Love the grips, this revolver shot nice tight groups at 5 yards with 110 grain HP and 158 grain lead round nose. Carry it IWB and is so comfortable you hardly feel it there. Did notice that the first round felt like it had a long trigger pull (seemed longer pull than Smith and Wesson J-frame). The recoil is noticeable, but very manageable and there were no issues with function and fit. This revolver is: light (12 oz), accurate, and has a lifetime warranty, what more could you ask for.

This is my first revolver for concealed carry and like that it's small and light and works great as a pocket pistol when I'm not carrying my regular gun. After several trips to the range I feel confident that this pistol will provide reliable performance and at more power than a 380.
