Ruger mini 14 is one of the best semi auto rifles ever made. This one was no exception. Excellent gun.

The ordering process through Bud's was excellent. The shipping was very quick as it showed up to my FLL about 2 days before we were expecting it. The rifle itself shows typical LE wear, and I would guess the round count to be in the 500-600 round range. However, there were two disappointments when I first opened the box. First, the stock was beat to hell. Deep gouges, chips and scratches all over it. Second, the 20 round magazine that came with the rifle was all rusted and pitted. Not a huge deal since both of these issues are easily remedied. My first outing with the rifle was another disappointment. About 40 rounds into my shooting session with some Lake City 5.56, my firing pin broke. The rifle is now on its way back to Ruger for repair. I can't blame Bud's for the firing pin failure as it's just part of the risk when purchasing a used firearm. I gave this product a 4 star rating because of the poor condition of the stock and magazine.

Fast shipping, beautiful wood stock looks almost new. Cleaned and oiled the gun as you should with anything used and it shoots perfect. Got some cheap ammo (steel russian) and it still shot with only few issues. Switched to more expensive brass and it shoots without any issues. Great find for anyone who wants a reliable rifle for a reasonable price.

Got one of these a few weeks ago. Took awhile for it to ship. When I got it from my FFL it was painted black all over. My FFL asked me if I wanted it? I said sure.... couple of days and a TON of elbow grease... I have a nice weapon. My brother couldn't believe the transformation. It's a well used weapon.... but with some TLC it has turned out to be well worth it.

Second time I ordered with Bud's and no problems at all. This is a great little gun, shoots well. Needed to be cleaned some and lubricated but overall, VERY pleased with the purchase. The description was accurate. Will continue to order from Buds. Love the barrel on this gun much more than the standard Mini-14. Thanks again Bud's!

Great deal as usual with buds.Shiping and transfer a breeze. A little disapointed with the firearm it self. Stripped and cleaned it everything looked great. Took it to the range and about every fifth or sixth round it would fire but cartridge would get stuck in the chamber. The next round would stand straight up and get crushed. Took it back home and apon further discovery,After taking the bolt completly apart... ( only try this if you know what you are doing) i found the extractor spring broken. So i ordered a new EXtractor spring, extractor, ejector and spring, and firing pin about $50. worth or parts from Midway USA. Reassembled With a Tapco Tactical Stock.and went back to range the following weekend. Now the mini fired about 500 rounds of both .223 and 5.56 without any issues at all. Again a used mini for the price an awesome deal.. Thanks Buds i will be buying more..

I've been wanting a mini 14 for a while, saw this deal and jumped on it. Beautiful gun, a scratch here, a knick there, some fading but over all condition is at least 90%. Everything works well on they gun. Everybody in the gun store was digging it! I just ordered some ammo and another clip, now all I need is a nice day. Second gun I ordered from BUD'S, customer service was great when I talked to them, keep up the good work!!

If you are sitting on the fence deciding if you want to get this rifle, do yourself a favor and make it happen. Bud's description was completely accurate: gun has some minor wear (mine has two very, very smalls scuffs on the otherwise great looking rich wooden stock) but the internals are flawless. Every indication is that this gun had been shot very little. And that's a shame for the cop who owned it because it is a complete blast to shoot. Put 100 rounds downrange yesterday - split between some Lake CIty and cheap Russian - both worked perfectly. Gun will make an excellent addition to any collection. Bud's turnaround was quick and efficient. You will not be disappointed.

This is my second purchase from Buds and all I can say is that dealing with them is a breeze Received My mini 14 about a monthe ago. Put about a thousand rounds through it and it has performed flawlessly. Conditon was very good. Very clean inside with minimal wear on the stock. A couple little dings but not bad for a gun that was driven around in a cruiser. A lot of fun to shot and accurate as well. Very happy with My purchase and transaction

This is my second purchase from Bud's and I couldn't be happier with this rifle. Shipping was lightning fast and free, which brings the price of the rifle down by about twenty five bucks or so. I loaded and shot a twenty round magazine as soon as I checked the rifle out, this is a sweet gun and one that is very easy and cheap to reload for. I expected more handling marks on the stock than there were and the action and barrel appear to be near new so I was very happy with the condition of the weapon.

Great gun ! Too damn cold to try it out yet but I`m really happy with it. Has afew nicks in the stock but I`m fine with that I like having a gun thats already broken in ! Also had trouble with the online ordering got a call back on Sat. morning from the folks problem corrected. I`m very pleased about that. John

Good rifle after refinishing the stock and cleaning it. Working parts have functioned great at about 200 rounds so far. All in all a good purchase in my book.

Great deal on a used rifle! Aside from a few minor bumps and bruises on the wood stock, the gun is in great condition and was clearly taken good care of. Could not find a trace of carbon, anywhere. Very light wear on moving parts, I believe it's been fired very little. The mag had some duct-tape residue from being taped to another mag, but a bit of solvent cleaned it right off and now looks brand new. Third purchase from Bud's, fully satisfied and would recommend! Back from the range. Put about 100 rounds of Federal American Eagle through this beauty. 100 yds, shooting consistently 6-8'' groups with iron sights. This was an incredible buy!

I was skeptical at first of buying this Mini 14 when I saw that it might require some TLC to get up to snuff. But, the great price and style of rifle won me over. I just picked it up from my local FFL and this rifle is everything I thought it would be and more. The internals are fantastic and good to go. The magazine is really the only thing that may need shaping up. The rest of the rifle has the assorted dings and scratches it would get over the course of being in a police cruiser trunk-but nothing that takes away from the feel of the rifle. Overall, this was a fantastic purchase and Bud's has done the usual quick and efficient job. I can't wait to go put some rounds through it later this week.

I just picked up my mini-14 today. The rifle a veteran weapon, not a prom queen. With a like TLC, she will be a fine weapon in my gun collection. Bud's Gun Shop, you have a new loyal customer for life.

I hesitated to buy one of these at first due to the accuracy complaints you see all over the web regarding the mini-14. When Bud's got these used GB models in and the price was right I couldn't resist any more. I have to say the gun I received, while showing some signs of it's life in a trunk of a cruiser, really was in great condition. The stock has some wear and scuffs but the rest of the gun is immaculate. The rifle needed a very good all over cleaning but appeared to have seen very few rounds overall. I'm very pleased with this purchase and might just get another for family shooting outings. This will be the first gun I grab when I just want to pop off a few rounds. I took it to the indoor range this past Friday and was very pleased with the accuracy of the rifle. It's a fun gun to shoot and looks great. Couldn't help seeing the glances from the other people on the range. The rifle says "old school" all the way! The transaction with Bud's was, as always, flawless and fast. i bought my used ss mini-14 gb model this year in 2010 from bud's. i installed a tapco stock and bought some tapco 30rd magazines for it. i took it to the range to sight it in. i have a ruger sight adjustment tool which is nice for that purpose. the first round that i shot was dead center-no adjustment needed. i tried all of the magazines for function. all worked perfect. this rifle is superior in all aspects. i told a friend about this rifle and he also purchased an identical one from buds. he is using the factory wood stock (which he refinished), and factory 20 rd mags. his mini-14 also functions flawlessly. his rifle did need some minor sight adjustment. overall rating is superb.

I'll go out on a limb and say the the cosmetic condition of the rifle was only a little better than average. It's going to take a lot of TLC on my particular one. Maybe my expectations were a little unreasonable on this one. Not to say it won't shoot nicely because I have yet to run anything through it.

I was on the fence about getting on of these but after reading the reviews I decided to go fo it. So very glad i did. Buds was fantastic as usual, this was my 2nd purchase and i recommend Buds to anyone who'll listen. Well, i picked my Mini up from my local FFL and I was very impressed by the condition. Very, very minimal wear on the stock and even that could be cleaned up to perfect shape. The stainless parts and barrel were perfect with no blemishes at all. After a quick cleaning (internals were SPOTLESS) I took it out to the pit and ran 160 rounds of mixed Federal and Remington. No issues whatsoever. A great shooting gun @ 100 yards and even @ about 250 yards i thought it was very reasonable. Basically this gun is just a joy to shoot and if i had the cash i'd buy another. Thanks Buds!!! Again!

A Mini 14 has been on my "wish list" for quite a while and when I saw the listing at Bud's I just couldn't pass it up. This gun is in amazingly good condition. A few nicks on the stock, but that only adds character! A quick call to Ruger's Customer Service gave me a wealth of information about my "new" rifle and their website has the manual availbe for download (free) and plenty of instructional videos. Thanks to the gang at Bud's!!!

My Ruger Mini-14 arrived in 5 days just as expected. Other than wear on the wood stock and old tape residue on the magazine, it was in very good shape. The stock gives it character and the tape residue was easily cleaned off. I downloaded an owner's manual from the Ruger website and have watched the Ruger YouTube on field stripping and cleaning. Next step is to take it into the woods and give it a go.
