Very fast shipping from BUDs. SW 10-5 3' barrel square butt. Nice timing, Very good lock-up, and flawless function. Finish is about 85%. I should buy more when I made the purchase.

This will be the forth police trade-in I've ordered from buds and it came exactly as describe. These things are the luck of the draw and the other three I've gotten in the past exceeded my expectations. This one came in 100% functional, but a little ugly. Still a great deal for a rare model 10 with a 3" barrel.

Bought a used S&W model 10 three-inch .38 revolver from Bud's. Quick shipping and better than expected condition. Revolver is tight, in time, and shoots to point of aim. Good buy, should have bought two.

Product is as described. Gun was a little beat up, but very clean. Would say 60%. Worn bluing, scratched, grips a bit worn but serviceable. Bore, timing, lockup are all excellent. Shoots great. Bud's shipping was next day. I bought the 4" round butt last time & was very satisified. I got lucky as it was better than advertised. Also satisfied with this purchase and Bud's excellent service.

Well, I figured It's about time I reviewed this thing. Sorry for the delay. Model 10's with 3" barrels are pretty rare, so if these surplus guns become available again at this price, you better snap one up. Bud's supply of these classic Smiths will literally be gone in hours, IF NOT MINUTES! As for the gun, it's great, but scuffed up some. This is only to be expected with police surplus. The function is excellent - everything you'd expect in the classic model 10. They replaced the original grips (on mine) with new "diamondwood" traditional S&W grips. Some people might like that, some collectors might not. I found some era appropriate grips at a gun show for 15 bucks, so no biggie. Accuracy is good, but maybe not quite what the typical 4" barrel would be. I've never found 4" K-frames to be very concealable, though, and a 3" barrel makes all the difference, in that respect. History: My understanding is that these were surplus from the police dept. in Victoria, Australia, and the small stick-on label affixed to the frame seems to verify that. I've left the label on just for the cool factor. My gun was made about '66 or '67, according to the standard catalog. The non-original grips keep it from being a real collector's piece, but at this price, who cares? Love it. Bud's delivered promptly.

Well worth the wait! I missed buying one of these due to limited quantities while I made up my mind twice. He who hesitates is lost.

just picked it up today. Very tight lock up and the gun looked as described by buds. If you are looking for a revolver with character this is it. if you are looking for a beauty queen buy something new out of the box.

This revolver was exactly what I wanted. A good, solid, handgun in good shape...but not so good that I worry about putting scratches on it!!! I'll order another one if Bud ever gets another shipment.............should have bought two this time....

The gun was exactly as described. Some blueing missing here, some scratches there, but overall a good solid gun. I went through all of the gun checks before accepting the transfer (cylinder play, cylinder-bore gap, timing, cylinder internal check, cocked hammer play) and it's a nice and tight piece. Is it going to win any beauty contests? NO. But you add the condition of the gun + what it was used for (LEO gun) + the 3" barrel length (not as common) + the beautiful original wood grips (classic) = you have a really cool gun that is a great deal. The gun is a beautiful piece of art in my opinion, great job BUDS.

This was my first purchase from Buds. Ordered Monday, pickup Friday, and shot it Sunday. The revolver is a Model 10-5. The condition/finish isn't great around 65-70%. No finish on the trigger guard and handle. Light wear on end of the barrel. The right side is quite beat up, but the left side is in good condition. Came with original grips so I was very happy, even though they are not the matching serial #. This gun is at least 35 years old so I have no complaints. Functions great and has very tight lock-up. Put 150 rounds down the barrel without any problems. I would not hesitate to buy another!

I ordered one and recieved it quickly as always from Bud's. It was at the top of the described condition. Very little wear on end of barrel and locked up very tight. I was so satisfied that I ordered a second one and it was better than the first. Not many three inch barrels around for sale at cheap prices.

Awesome little gun. It's obviously been used, but whatever. A little nicking here and there adds to the charm. Ordered this gun on a Monday and picked it up on the following Friday. Bud's has no competition.

I picked up my 10-5 from my FFL yesterday. Very pleased with the condition, No rust, moderate holster wear in the usual places, small scratch on one of the cylinder flutes. The revolver locks up very tight, very smooth trigger, and the wooden grips are in great shape. It doesn't appear to have been shot much. Quick turn around from Buds as well. I may purchsse another!

I was pleased with the model 10-5 I received today. Late 1974 or early 75 production with moderate holster wear, no rust, original grips, correct timing, and nice tight lockup with a clean bore. Bud's came through with a quality product as advertised with quick delivery.

Beautiful condition! Holster wear is very minimal and it functions perfectly. Serial number on mine puts it around a 1966-67 production. It seems almost brand new. This was my first time ordering through Buds, and I will definitely be a returning customer.

Purchased Saturday night and Buds had it at my FFl on Wednesday ! Great service as always. The 70-80% rating was accurate, blueing wear and grips need re-done. Have already refinished the grips and have used perma blue to touch up the gun a bit. All in all, very happy, especially for $230 :) Will keep everything else the way it is - character :) A nice addition to the collection, and love that it is a 3" - not a lot of them out there.
