Daniel Defense manufactures superior firearms. It is lightweight and highly customizable. You get so much more than what you pay for with this rifle. This is a mil-spec rifle. The lower is CNC machined with a flared magazine opening. The finish is anodized and has a rear QD swivel attachment point. The upper is also CNC machined, has index markings and M4 feed ramps. The barrel is Chrome Moly Vanadium Steel, Cold Hammer Forged, and has a 1:7 twist. The barrel length is 16″. It is lightweight and chrome lined. It has a CNC machined low profile gas block. The flash hider is type A4, made by Daniel Defense. The bolt carrier group is superior to any that I have seen on other rifles. It comes with a Magpul buttstock and a removable pistol grip. This is a flat top rifle, so you will need to add your own sights. Check out the Daniel Defense videos on YouTube and you will understand what a high quality rifle this is compared to other M4 rifles that are on the market.

I was a little weary about the lightweight barrel that this rifle has, but I decided to try it out because it was over $100 cheaper than the standard barrel. But after it arrived, most of my worries went away, and once I went to the range, I was actually glad that I went with the lightweight barrel. Excellent accuracy and the quality of this rifle is top notch. If you are looking for a high-end AR-15 without breaking the bank, this is the gun for you! The only negative thing that I have to say is that the MOE stock was a little loose, but I had expected that, and I had a Magpul CTR stock laying around! Bonus: They include rail covers, which is great!

OUTSTANDING product, couldn't be more pleased with this purchase! Mounted a set of Troy folding sights on this gun along with an AimpointM4 Pro red dot optic and a two point Viking Tactic sling. Shipping was quick and painless from Bud's to a local gun shop and the transfer was as simple as could be. The case and gun were in pristine condition with no issues whatsoever and no apparent damage from the shipping process. Weapon has been battle sight zeroed and 120 rounds put through it via GI magazines and MagPul polymer mags with no hiccups or issues. Overall a phenomenal weapon and one I hope to never have cause to use in the course of my job but should I need to I have the utmost faith in it to function provided I do my part. Big thanks to Bud's for the ease of purchasing and shipping this fine piece of American manufacturing; look forward to dealing with you all again in the near future!

Ordered the DDM4V5 from Buds and received within 7-10 business days. Buds kept me updated on the status via email if not daily, every other day until I received it. The description said it was the regular barrel, but when delivered, to my delight, it was the LW. An extra bonus. My only suggestion, not really a complaint would be a more accurate description in the ads. I was looking at what was described as a DDM4V4, but all the reviews on it were for a DDM4V5, so I called and talked to Keith and he really couldn't give me a definitive answer as to if it was a V4 or V5. The price was @ $200 less than what I paid. So I just went with the V5 and ended up with a LW!!! The price was the best to be found, and believe me I looked for weeks. You could find a better price... however, they weren't in stock! Buds' ROCKS for prices and customer service. Also, I wanted to mention that the FFL dealer it was shipped to; New Frontier Armory in Las Vegas is also great for customer service and supplies. Ivan was very helpful in the transfer and many questions I had about accessories. On the flip side, I've been out of town too much to get any accessories, since it is a slicktop, but once I do, it will be at the range to see how she performs. I have NO doubts!!! If you're considering a DDM4, check out the Larry Vickers torture test they put it through, it should help you make up your mind, it did mine. As I was considering the Stag Arms 2T, but for a few hundred $$ more, I went with the DD and peace of mind.
