Did my research wanted a home defense shotgun that wasn’t 1000.00 dollars this was the shotgun i wanted from watching dozens of videos and reading reviews. This gun shots great and is very reliable

after a thorough cleaning and firing multiple brands of shells,,,,,it takes a hell of a jerk to cycle out the expired shell . ihave never seen anything like this before. I will try 1 more box to see if it works , but as of now ,,it is worthless.

This gun shoots okay. But I’ve shot it only a few times. Cleaned it and it’s already starting to show rust and it’s been less than three weeks. Save your money and get a better gun.

I love this gun! I truly think it’s the best gun, for the money, on the market today, & for a long time. The gun runs flawlessly & feeds anything. The action is not great out of the box, but oil it, shoot it, practice with it. It will smooth out & become great. This Maverick 88 is a key component in my home defense setup. It’s also fun on the range. Can’t beat a quality pump shotgun.

Shipping and pickup were easy; from the box I put 50 shells of 00 buckshot with no problems. The buttpad is much nicer than you'd expect. Cannot go wrong at this price.

No frills home defense shotgun at its finest. At the end of the day…. Forget all of the expensive and fancy guns I own, this would be my go to in a home defense situation. Mossberg reliability is top notch. Can’t recommend enough!! As always Buds was incredible!

Why pay more for a Mossberg 500 when this is basically a Mossberg 500 (made by Mossberg ) and it’s cheaper??? This shotgun works great and eats any ammo you feed it. $200 and you have a bad a** shotgun. Trust me just buy one

Mossberg has made the perfect home defense weapon with the Maverick 88! Great price, .12 gauge, 18” barrel. I like the stock much better than the pistol grip of the Shockwave— nice to have a shoulder backing up the .12 gauge. The 88 is basically the stripped down version of the 500.

First quality name brand firearm, and the front bead sight is off center! Not to mention scratches along the bottom of the barrel... quite disappointed. Customer service was mediocre, and the turn around time would be about 8 weeks without any possible form of compensation. I decided to just keep it with this imperfection, but it will forever bother me.
