I love the feel of the gun. Once you understood the mechanism of how it works, the rest is history. It is however selective of bullets. A full metal cci jacket is a no go area. The rest is a breeze. It is a bulky conceal carry. It has a good stopping power to it. I generally love how simple it is. It might be a little complex to clean but doable. Great product.

I originally bought this gun as a joke expecting it to be absolutely terrible but... It turns out to be a pretty decent gun. Yes it's heavy and has low capacity but it works. Has decent sights out of the box and comes with a ghost ring sight if you want to use that. The only things that I think are bad are the trigger and the disassembly. I only disassembled it once and never again. The trigger is mushy but it's a pistol less that 150 dollars so I can forgive it. As far as reliability goes the first ever mag through it I had a few failures to feed but I think it's mostly the magazine. The cartridges like to nose dive but once you give the magazine a tap they feed fine. I haven't had a problem with it since the first mag. Overall, I'm satisfied with my purchase. It's definitely fun to shoot on occasion. 4.5/5 stars. Only because that first magazine problem.

Nice pistol . Grips feel a little slippery but for a budget pistol it's worth the price. I may try the higher calibers after my test of the C9 9 mm.

It's heavy and bulky, but shoots reliably and accurately. People hate on Hi-Points but they just work. Added a Mcarbo trigger spring and that dramatically increased function. Great guns for what they are.

Cheap and works. Not particularly comfortable, and the capacity could definitely be better, but you're not likely to find a better deal on a semi-automatic 9mm pistol.

Good looking gun lightweight perfect for carrying

This gun is awesome! For years I avoided buying one of these because I didn't want to water down the quality of my collection. Then I started watching some videos about them. Everyone talked how they were going to beat it up and see when it failed - problem for them was it didn't. It's inexpensive so I thought I'd give it a try, glad I did. I know all the comments about it: low capacity; not balanced; ugly as sin. All true - but I think it's so ugly it's sexy. But I have to admit I am no longer a gun snob regarding these firearms. They have an unlimited lifetime warranty, are dependable, and go bang when you squeeze the trigger. My advise? Buy one and enjoy it.

this C-9 is a relatively small handgun. The jxp-10 with a red dot is my favorite for accuracy and dependability over many more expensive firearms. I have the 10 in carbine or pistol with me when I am in the woods cutting firewood etc to protect against large critters, however I like the feel and weight of the c-9 and I believe it will only improve with further break in. reality. loading the first round out of some magazines requires a gentle slap of the palm but this pistol ate mag after mag of steel wolf, various hand loads and several other brands of ammo hot and not so hot. After experiencing the accuracy of their carbine and pistol in 10mm I could not wait to try this 9mm, I was not disappointed. Hi-Point is quickly becoming a new bench mark with our shooting group.

I’m very happy with this purchase. I was always curious whether the surprising praise or more purist ridicule directed at Hi-Points was deserved and based on my initial experience with the C-9, I feel very good about their product, and it has me interested in trying their carbines. I ran about 200 rounds through the C-9 on a recent trip to the range and after about 50-100 rounds the performance was very consistent with virtually no FTF/FTE. The only time I noticed a more persisitent feeding issue was when I attempted to load a round in the chamber and then load a full magazine afterward for 8+1. That could be user error, but could also be a function of the blowback design. The key for me is that I would feel comfortable carrying this pistol in a self-defense situation. As an added bonus, I think it looks nicer in person than the images online suggest. Lots of semi-auto pistols from more expensive brands are pretty plain-looking, and there are plenty of other goofy-looking guns for sale out there. As long as you’re not buying the model with dollar bills plastered on it, the C-9 looks just fine and works well, too.

Still have all the haters of High Point giving me grief, but hit 50 almost dead center out of box first outing to range, no jams was just fun! Haven't cleaned yet and that will be not as easy as other pistols, but for price was fun. I might keep as a truck gun as back up, I carry other guns one waist and one ankle, so a good back up.

Just a great ATV, backpack, trunk gun. Reasonable cost, and they always work. Great warranty, super nice folks if you need help. Accuracy is on par with most of the less expensive firearms. Feeds ball, hollow points and any of the exotic defense rounds. This is a great value.
