I am extremely satisfied with this Ruger Long Colt. It was hard to find but worth the wait. Bud”s made the transaction extremely simple. I enjoy shooting and reloading this Blackhawk in both 45 Long Colt and 45 ACP.

Nice enough, so far good for hunting out to 75 yards. I think however Ruger has an issue with QA. In my case the barrel wasn't screwed into the receiver properly. So the front sight is at a cant. You can see this when you look from the muzzle comparing the sight to the top of the frame. The result is that, to zero, the windage of the rear must be cranked fully to the right to hit center target. Of course this will affect point of impact at other ranges. I've noticed the same on other guns pictured on the Internet. I guess a good $400 gun and tough although I expected it to be assembled correctly.

excellent shooter. This gun is well made and very accurate with both 45lc and 45acp. The 71/2" barrel is a big plus.

Had the Ruger on a Layaway, that was great ,a nice feature for an online store A . Got the gun in about 48 hours after I made the final payment, A . Took the Ruger 45Colt to the range and put about 80 rounds mixed colt/acp, this is a fine gun, at 17yds shot 2-3 in. groups with a couple deadcenters. Getting use to that big front sight. Just for the heck of it , I bought some cheap steel Tula ammo, the kind that has fits in semi-autos. 46 of 50 shot perfect. The other 4 would not fully seat in the cylinder, but then I put a nice brass in just to see if that would fit, no problem. Not the gun. Bought the gun just to bring to the range, so the extra work for a single action is welcome. AAA
