Best small .45 ACP 1911 variant out there AFAIAC. Put a gold beat at the front of the trough and it is remarkably easy to get on target. Won't be doing any matches with this gun but if you need to present, flick off the safety, and put metal on meat like now, this will do it..

I have had this new agent since August 2012. I work as a Consulting Engineer in the Dallas Metroplex. I have an LTC and carry nearly every working day. I love the trough sight. the rounds go where you point it to. I go to the range regularly, and totally clean it regularly. It has not missed a beat! Would recommend it to anyone wanting power in a small package.

First words out of my mouth... "Wow!" This is by far the best gun for carrying that I own. There is little to no kick or recoil compared to the 9mm that I used to carry. Outstanding finish and accuracy. Trench sights take a little time to get used to but after you get it you won't notice any difference. 3" groups at 25 yards. Amazing product from colt!

First time buying from buds and defetiently not the last awesome all the way around... Now to the gun, just picked it up today from ffl an shot 150 rounds threw it an it worked flawlessly. Fit an finish is incredible pictures do it no justice.. The trench site is defetiently different but after a few rounds down range you get use to it an is actually pretty accurate gun is awesome super happy with this purchase way to goooo colt.

First Time with a 45 this Short and was expecting it to kick like a Mule, Pleasantly Surprised ... Shoots damn Nice .. Looks, Feels, and Handles like the Quality Firearm that it is!!

Buds got the gun to my ffl very quickly, as usual. The New Agent arrived and I noticed the roll marks on the slide were poorly done. It did not bother me that badly. The gun felt perfect in my hand, nothing rattled, and the mags were nice. Racking the slide was very smooth and the trigger broke cleanly. I wish I could say good things about how the gun shot. Even though I have shot pistols with trench type sights before, I was not able to get any kind of groupings. My targets look like I had used a shotgun! I even had a buddy and a firearms instructor test the gun and they could not get grouping either. This was at 7 yard targets! Also the gun jammed frequently - stovepipes, ftf, the works. I am dissapointed that a $900 firearm performed so poorly, even after broken in.

Great pistol, arrived fairly quickly. Looked and felt great right out of the box. 100 rounds at the range with only 1 FTE, the trench sights took a little getting used to, but the pistol itself felt comfortable in my hands.

I love this gun it is smooth functioning and I like the fact that it doesnt have traditonal sights on top. Mine was marked with the hundred years of service on the slide

An incredible carry piece...accurate and 100% reliable with supplied magazines. I reccomend the New Agent in 45 to anyone who is serious about self defense and appreciates the power of the 45 ACP cartridge.

An update on the gun, shot 150 rounds over the weekend, shot very well, used the two supplied mags and a wilson 47 model, had two failure to feeds with one of the colt mags on the last cartridge in the mag, it would flip it so it would not feed, so that mag went in the trash, but with the other two it shot flawless. The sights or trench sighting does take some getting use to, shoots much lower than you would expect. My only real issue was the grip safety, its a duck bill type colt safety and it dug a deep hole in my hand down several layers of skin, a very pore design on colts part if you use a high handed grip, but ordered a drop in grip safety from Wilson for about 35 bucks, installed it myself and now id say the gun is perfect. I fed over a decade old junk hardball through the gun about 20 rounds, 100 rounds of S&B 230 hardball, and 30 rounds of winchester ranger t series +p, which the +p was a bit much for this pistol especially with the old grip safety. All in all a great pocket or easily concealed firearm.

Traded a kahr cw45 and glock 30 for this item. Buds price was great and shipping and process was pretty good as well. Initial thought on the piece is good, not quite as tight as a kimber but may prove better for reliability and function earlier than most 1911's, I have not had a chance to shoot it yet but plan to this weekend. I think its a great design and idea and I carry it in a desantis super fly in the front pocket with no issue or problems, I think Im going to really like this one.

This gun is awesome. Accuracy is excellent using the trench site or point and shoot. Fits nicely in my hand and it conceals well. This gun has outstanding function and is also elegant.

I was hesitant to trust a 3 inch 1911 style pistol, but the New Agent has proven to be wonderfully reliable. Mine has functioned flawlessly in 500 rounds of testing, It is small but solid. The controls are all in the right place and operate positively. Accuracy is fine, even with the sight gutter, at its intended ranges. I added Crimson Trace grips to mine and they complete the package. This is a great little pistol for self defense.

I was hesitant to trust a 3" 1911, but the positive reviews I read on the various sites led to give this one a try. I have a few hundred rounds through it already and it's performed flawlessly. It's a natural pointer, even so I've put a set of Crimson Trace Laser Grips on it to add to my options. Fit and finish are excellent, and are true Colt quality. You can have all those other knock-offs. I'll trust a Colt.

this is a followup...I've added crimson trace grips and this lightweight pistol is able to group into 2" from a rest at 25 yds, amazing my friends! Although I had first taught myself to shoot it effectively at 10 yds with a point shooting method, the laser makes this into one that can be shot from the hip, shot while holding it off to the side from barriers. It's a combat competitor's dream with quick presentation and spot-on accuracy. 1200 rds, through, no cleaning beyond a quick wipe of the ramp and it hasn't had a single stoppage, not one. I don't know what they did to make this so reliable but it works.

I like it just fine. The pistol is light, easy to carry, and has operated flawlessly so far. I DID expect that the pistol would have the matte black finish as shown in the photo here, but the received gun has the semi-polished finish common to other blued Colt models. So this is not a complaint about the product; it is a notification to prospective buyers that the photo used here can not be relied on to represent the pistol a buyer may receive.

I have a new Agent and it is a great carry gun. I have a Crimson Trace laser grip and it shoots dead center at 25 yards. I have put 200 rounds so far and it eats anything I give it. No problems so far. It is so light I almost forget I have it on. I took it apart completely and all of the parts were well made and fit well. The magazines have 7 rounds and work great. Chip McCormick mags and Wilson Combat mags work well also. I would recommend this as the best carry gun if you still want a 45 with 7 rounds that is comfortable to wear. And its a Colt!
