Absolutely love this rifle. This is my first AR. I put About 120-140 rounds of 55gr american eagle 223 and 1 mag full of federal 55gr hollow points the first day i got it fresh out the box with no problems. The HandGuard does have slight side to side rotational movement not sure if that's something to be expected but love the rifle none the less. This is my 3rd purchase from Buds with no problems.

I've owned a few AR's over the years and wanted to buy this X platform to add to my collection. Upon receiving it, I could tell it was built a little more LE/Mil spec than others. The handguard covers were a little finicky to install but they look nice and certainly block the grooves of the handguard. All in all, I would definitely purchase this AR again and I'm happy with the first 300 rounds this week.

This is my first AR-15. Arrived in a timely manner. I was kept apprised of the ship tacking all the way through delivery to my FFL. After learning as much as I could about operating the weapon, I took it to the range and shot 60 rounds using the mag supplied With the gun and an after market mag. I didn't have one misfire. Very smooth shooting. Trigger did not feel stiff. Watching a lot of tutorials helped make the first experience easy. I need to adjust the front sight. Another excellent buying experience with Bud's.

I may have got the last 1 ordered after 2012 elections but before Sandy Hook What a sweet rifle I think this should be the weapon of the state militias should they need to be formed. My second purchase from Buds and have no problems with them. The rifle took 2 weeks to process and ship but I feel lucky to have received it at all.

This was a fantastic purchase. Can't beat the price if you're patient. It took about 2 weeks to finally get it but considering the holiday season and current demand for firearms I'd say it was acceptable. The gun is spot on, perfect. Bud's is about 200 dollars under MSRP by S&W. The local shop here wanted a grand, on black Friday for a bare bones stripped down sport model. No thanks. This purchase didn't come with a S&W magazine though, it was a new in package PMAG 30. I will continue to do business with Bud's most definitely. I've already got my eyes on a S&W 686, I was shocked when I compared Bud's at 690.00 to Gander Mountain at 850.00, which would be closer to 900.00 after the tax addition. My only wish is one day I'd get a 3 day surprise on shipping like some guys claim.

Buying this was my first purchase from Bud's and it turned out to be a fantastic purchase. This was also my first AR-15 and I finally decided on this one based on cost and S&W's reputation. My first time out firing it the rifle was spot on as I was able to easily group my shots at 50 yards using the steal sites. The gun is well made, easy to handle, and is a beauty. Buying this as my first AR was money very well spent. Plus, Bud's had outstanding service, so the entire purchase was great. You will not be disappointed in buying this rifle.

If they every get the 811001 tactical rifle in stock I would get that one too, but got this one and will wait for the other one to come back in stock.

Very smooth transaction as always with Bud's to my FFL. Very nice rifle with quality that is stood behind by S&W. I have put about 500 rounds down range with no problems. Great addition to my safe, my first AR.

Great deal on a wonderful AR-15. Don't let the ad misprint fool you, this rifle is 5.56 NATO, not just .223 as the ad shows. I received mine promptly and love it!

great shipping turnaround, ordered friday morning about 5 am was instore monday morning, weapon is TIGHT, no rattle between upper and lower, beautiful rifle. shot 300 rounds of .223 federal without a single hiccup, except one failure to feed because of magazine being too stiff. trigger isnt a sloppy mil spec either, compared to a dpms factory trigger this trigger is glass smoooth, very little creep, no need for replacement like dpms factory trigger. rear sight is a little sketchy, took some getting used to but once i became accustomed it was poa at 100 yards out of the box zero adjustment. after looking at doublestar and aftermarket rails, this rifle is roughly the same price, and its well worth it, only thing was it came in DIRTY, spent 30 minutes scrubbing packing grease out of action and barrel, everything else was mostly clean, would definetly recommmend this rifle to anyone looking for ar style rifles. NOTE: this weapon comes with one factory s&w 30 round pmag, also purchased an additional pmag both ran 100 percent, also comes with 4 rubber rail covers that need trimming once applied also, buds retail store does not allow rifles on the shoting range until after 7 pm, which makes zero sense, asked the range master he said it was because of noise, however i was able to shoot my 1911, which is alot louder than this rifle ever thought about being...checked in at the range at 6:30, got 30 minutes of range time, but no rifle shoooting? i think that policy needs to be reviewed a little.... also got 400 rounds of federal .223 55 grain for 70 dollars at retail location, will be buying from buds in the future, as for the indoor range not so much, range instructor was very rude

Absolutely fantastic weapon system. Looks even 100 times better in person when you get it than it does in this pictures. SUPER rock solid construction, no play at all in any of the parts, fits super tight. Nothing but good things to say about this weapon. Nothing but good things to say about Bud's service either. Ordered this weapon on a saturday on new years day, Bud's had it at my FFL dealer 4 days later that Wednesday. My 2nd flawless purchase from buds, and absolutely will not be my last.

Nice gun, got mine about three weeks ago. Nice fit and finish. Rails are very nice and functional. I've put about 400 rounds through it so far and no major gun problems, some mag problems that are unrelated. Very accurate and I really like the flip up rear sight. I also put a red dot sight on it which improves aim tremendously. I'm very happy with the gun and of course always happy with Buds' quick and friendly service. Mike
