I've had smaller pistols. I've had lighter pistols. There are pistols with higher capacity (tho I'm in a 10rd mag state, so...) Yet this is the pistol on my hip 19 days out of 20.

Excellent carry pistol, showed up properly packaged and damage free. I took the pistol to the range and put a couple hundred rounds through it with no problems what so ever. This purchase was well worth the money. Gotta love the SIG trigger and night sights.

I took a double-stack pistol (not this one) to a defensive gun training class. The instructor immediately determined the grip was too wide for me. I couldn't reach all mechanisms or perform all functions without changing my hand position. Not good. The P239 has a single stack, a slimmer grip and my hand position doesn't need to change when operating the gun. I wonder how many people have opted for high capacity at the expense of gun control. I was one. Now I've seen the light. This gun is my exclusive CC weapon.

I am a Sig lover, so this was an easy review. The P239 is a awesome. Only one issue. This one came with a Hogue rubber grip. I would have installed one for comfort of shooting. This one does not fit that well and leaves a gap on the lower back strap of grip. Also, magazine did not drop free from sticking inside rubber grip...but that has smoothed out. Bud's does a great job of fast shipment and care in packaging.

The Sig Sauer P239 SAS Gen 2 9mm handgun is exactly what I expected from Sig Sauer. Fit and finish are top-notch. Takedown for maintenance is a snap. Performance out of the box is good - groups of _2.4" at 7 yards. Dealing with Bud's was pain free. I only wish I could get the product in my hands faster, but that would involve moving to KY, which I can't manage at this time. :-) This is not a lightweight pocket pistol. Although it is the smallest in size of any pistol I own, it is almost 1.5 ounces heavier than my full-sized PX4 Storm 9mm. But, it feels rugged and dependable, and I expect it to remain that way over time, since it certainly isn't an inexpensive handgun.

First of all, I have purchased a number of firearms from Buds and each experience has been outstanding. This particular pistol had problems that were Sig issues, not Bud's issues. Short version; I bitched loudly enough to the correct people at Sig to get it fixed quickly. Put 300 rds through it last weekend and it was flawless, 200 Blazer Brass, to Blazer aluminum to see if it would feed and 25 Cor-Bon Pow-R-Ball and 25 Remington Golden Sabre hollow points. Perfect. Sights are dead on. Multiple rounds through one ragged hole. The description on this page is incorrect. It's the SAS version and features a melt finish to get rid of the sharp angles, making it a better CCW firearm. It comes through their Custom Shop (which was why I was stunned at the cosmetic problems on delivery). It doesn't come with wood grips as stated. They are polymer. A set of Hogue rubber finger grips makes it amazing. Don't hesitate to buy from Bud's. Don't hesitate to buy this gun, but ask Buds to look it over by field stripping it first.
