This review is a year old now. Bought the FNAR with the 20” HB in 10/2013 ($1450.00) and started working up a load. At first I thought it had to break-in before expecting MOA accuracy. Well months later after trying all the factory and hand loads I had the gun would not shoot 2 inch groups @ 100yrds. Sent rifle to FN warranty around July 2014 and was told it had a misaligned scope mount tap and they would not have any receiver replacements till maybe December. FN refunded me all my money that I spent including FFL transfer and shipping, what a great CS they have. It worked out good, the rifle was a little heave. I still think it is a good rifle if corrected.

This is a very smooth firing, hard hitting, and extremely accurate semi auto. If your in the market for a very well made rifle I would not over look an FN FNAR. FNH is phasing these out, so good luck finding one!

This is an excellent gun that is vastly overlooked. I recently put an ACOG BDC scope and turned this gun into a tack driver. I was hitting a steel 12" round target at 400 yards. I will always prefer a bolt action rifle for long range shots, but I feel I'm not giving up any accuracy with this semi-auto .308. The FNAR .308 is truly a magnificent rifle. It is heavy and some may say ugly. They change their mind when you shoot fast and show a group the size of a silver dollar at 250 yards. Please, please, please do not overlook this gun!!!
