Shoots straight, handles well, and smooth action. Wood is finished nicely and fits well. For this price point this is an exceptional value.

Cool, nice gun. Other than awesome looks was not a shooting advantage over my sixteen inch version. Whats funny is how quiet light loaded 38s were and how much lighter my 24 inch 45 colt is with its bigger hole. The 1892 Winchester and copies are so cool John Wayne used them even in movies timed right after the civil war. Ha

This is one of my favorite rifles, once I figured out what was wrong. I compete in Lever Action Silhouette and this is my pistol cartridge rifle. It's easy to work on, for a Winny and balanced very well. Trigger adjustments are easy to do with spring kits that are on the after market. My only complaint is the twist rate of 1:30 will not stabilize the standard 158 grain bullets, either lead or jacketed. Because of this this gun likes loads that are light and slow. 125 grain jacketed bullets and light loads of Unique give me a group of 5/8" (and all touching) at 50 yards.

Picked up this Rossi 92 in .357 few years back, and just no providing feedback. My first experience with Buds. Trouble free ordering and delivery. Rifle proved to be accurate out of the box, right around 1/2" groups @ 50yds with my reloads. Action was definitely in need of smoothing/tuning to slick it up...if you are handy and willing to spend the time polishing the action...you will not be disappointed. Great rifle and highly recommend it if you can find one these days.

After 3+ years, still an amazing rifle! Haven’t even done the action job yet, and I wouldn’t trade this for anything!

A lot of folks love these, but if you read up on it, they (generally) all have to spend some time/money to get it just right. It's pretty rough-hewn and needs some TLC out of the box to get it working well. It's a fun project gun if you are willing to spend the time. I ended up selling it to a buddy of mine; he put significant effort into it and really likes it. Nothing *wrong* with it per se, just think of it as a fixer-upper and you won't be let-down. Luckily there is a ton of user support online, forums, youtube, etc. Pull the trigger if you want a cool project! But if you want a great lever gun out of the box, buy one of the Henry Rifles (from Buds of course...).

This gun is a ton fun and not bad looking either . Decent finish very accurate. 8 inch groups at 150 yards ,open sights. Dang near a miracle for this old man. Lots of fun with steel targets _357 Mag rings fairly good :)

I order this rifle from Bud's day after Thanksgiving , it arrived at my selected local gun shop in less than week. the rifle is in excellent condition. Very fast and prop service. Bud's has made my first web order very pleasurable. Thanks

Just received my rifle from Buds and as usual they are very good to buy from. As for the rifle I am not going to say much more than has already been said. The wood is pretty good but could use a little work but I bought it to shoot not look at. Have only shot a few rounds through it but I am impressed. The cycling is a little rough but I will do a little polishing and oiling which should smooth it right up. Sure the safety is cheap looking but it does what it was designed to do and I will probably remove it. Love the look and the octagon barrel really make it look sharp and for cowboy action shooting it will work.

Excellent rifle, I've had no issues thus far with mine. I have seen a lot of reviews of this rifle that make the rifle appear to be hit or miss on quality or fit and finish. Mine, so far, has been great. The finish on the wood isn't bad, but could use a little more tung oil or something. I can take care of that though. The action on the gun was a bit stiff at first. I cleaned it out real good and then lubed it up very liberally. I then cycled the action several times while watching tv one night. when I went to the range, it functioned flawlessly and the action has improved even more sense shooting it. Accuracy, I knew it would be good, but dang, it is very accurate. 38 special shot lower and dropped sooner than 357, but with full power 357 rounds I was hitting steel plates at 200 yards with this gun pretty consistently. I thoroughly enjoy shooting this gun and am very pleased with the purchase. I do plan on removing the safety since it's pretty useless and I may put a peep sight in it's place, but not sure yet.

I got this rifle within the advertised time, which is actually pretty decent with the crazy way gun sales are going right now. I was very happy with Bud's speed on this. The rifle itself is in very good condition. It cycles, fires, and ejects perfectly. The finish on the metal is impeccable. The wood foregrip is slightly asymmetrical, but hard to notice normally. It cycles a bit rough when out of the box, but I got mine silky smooth after cycling it a few hundred times over the course of an evening.

The gun was just as advertised. AS ALWAYS! No Problems with Bud's! Took it to the field the day I bought it and it's a POS. Won't eject .357 or .38. I've had the gun since October. had it apart and back together a dozen times and it still won't eject. Sent back to Rossi in May and will update with more information in the future...

Just got it from the FFL after being shipped to him from Buds; and have wanted a long barrel 357 for so long I've over looked a few things I don't care for in the gun. The most notable is the safety location and the fact it looks really "lame." I don't know what else to say about it - it appears like it could fall off at any time. The wood on mine is not nearly as nice as the pictures here or at Rossi. Otherwise I'm still very happy to have a lever action 357 for less then 500, a new one at that and a 24 inch barrel too! I fired one box of 357 through at the range a few hours ago and everyone worked great - so I hope I don't see the ejector problems someone else reported.

I bought this gun about 6 months ago. I wanted something that would match a caliber to a handgun I have. Since I bought the gun, I started reloading and found it doesn't always work that way. I like the gun because it's simple. However, and here's the bad part... The ejector didn't work! I had the gun apart about 5 times and couldn't figure out why it wouldn't eject the brass. Finally, a mail trip for the bolt to Steve at Stevesgunz, plus another 100 bucks the ejector was replaced, machined and installed in the bolt. I still like the gun but it cost more $$$ than here. So, bottom line, if you have trouble ejecting the brass be sure you get Braz-tech, Rossi, Taurus or whoever makes these to fix the ejector BEFORE you take it apart!
