Handsome, compact, smooth working carbine. Shoots well, though the the short barreled version is much better suited to close range shooting.

One of the Most Fun Rifles to shoot. Most Indoor Gun Ranges have separate Hand Gun and Rifle Lanes to be used. That being said, there are 14 Lanes for Hand Guns and only 4 for Rifles. But at my Indoor Range you can use this Rifle on the Hand Gun Lanes too as long as the Rifle has a Hand Gun Caliber Ammunition. Thus this Rifle has the .357 Mag Hand Gun Caliber I can use it on the Hand Gun Lanes as well as on the Rifle Range. Not to mention it is a Blast to Shoot everywhere else especially with its Big Lever Loop. The Rifle with the.357 Mag is Fun to shoot back to back. If you have a 30-30 Lever Rifle it can become hard on your shoulder tho Shoot after 10+ shoots back to back. Basically you get all the Fun of a Lever 30-30 with a .357 Mag and not to mention the Ammo is Much Cheaper.

Great shooting lever rifle. Accuracy has been terrific. So far I only had trouble feeding one brand of ammo, some range reloads that have a stubby truncated cone plated bullet in .357 mag. No problems with similar looking factory ammo. Reall fun to shoot with low recoil and easy functioning. Good price at Buds.

Another smooth transfer/purchase from Bud's. The rifle was received in excellent shape. No manufacturers defects with the action, barrel or furniture. The rifle was as advertised. The rifle performed well at the range shooting both .357 Magnum and .38 Spl. This Rossi is an excellent option in lieu of purchasing a Henry of a similar caliber.

Nice little lever action, shipped quickly by Bud's (as usual). Pretty decent price, too (as usual). Very good communication, letting me know what's going on with the order (as usual). The action on the Rossi is pretty stiff..expecting that to smooth out over time. Accuracy is good. It seems to "like" .357's over plain old .38 specials; but the .357 I had was brand new, and the .38's were decades old reloads with round lead bullets. Rascal is hard to load, though. I'm looking at fiddling with the follower and spring to reduce pressure on the cartridges ... possibly fiddling with the spring on the cartridge door, too. Finish on the gun is very good, with wood to metal joinery as good as you could expect on a $500 firearm. Blue finish is excellent, and I found no scratches or gouges anywhere. The packaging was minimal (just a poly bag inside a lightweight cardboard carton) ... but it must be good enough, since it made it here from Brazil with no problem. So, no problems with Rossi or good old Bud's .... looking forward to lots of fun with this rifle.

What a nice little Rifle!! Shipping was fast, product delivered as described. This was my 2nd purchase from Bud's, and though I haven't had the chance to shoot it yet, I'm sure it will perform as good as it looks.

I am not a Taurus Fan but I was Very impressed with this rife. For the price I was expecting a lot less. Fit and finish was excellant. Unlike other reviews the action was very smooth. Deep gloss blue equal to or better than my marlin 1895 and 336. The wood was some sort of tropical hardwood (mahogany like)with a satin finish. Not Walnut but better than birch. Havent shot it yet but if there are issues i will report back.

Handy little rifle, its a tack driver at 50yrds and has functioned perfectly. At first the action was a little rough but that's normal with new lever guns.
