Ok, lets try and break it down. This is a very good value AK, which means you are getting every cent of what you pay for in a .30 cal semi auto that will accept standard capacity magazines (30+). If you plan to rework this thing and put on a new hand guard, pistol grips, and take some serious time to adjust the front sight post. Then yes this is the AK for you. However if you want and out of the box I love it AK then spend the extra and get a Arsenal. I really do love this AK cause I have put so much work into it to make it my own. But it has come with it's frustrations. A few things 1) The bolt carrier piston was very corded and had very large pits. 2) The whole gun looked like it had been filled with crystallized mud and required A LOT of cleaning (which I do anyway). 3) The front site had to be pushed all the way to the right till it will not move any more to get a good line up. If I had it to go back and do over I would get the M10 (but the M10 was not out when I bought this so..) I'm not big on recommending this rifle but it has never jammed, or caused me any issues. However, that is inherent to it's design.

purchased this rifle a couple of months ago, and decided to wait a while to write the review to give me time with the rifle. I did some research to find a rifle that combined a number of favorable characteristics. What sold me one the rifle: Price: $531 delivered was not beyond was I was willing to pay. New Parts: Barrel, trigger, furniture, receiver. You are not importing a refurbished weapon. Chrome Lined Barrel: Improved life and less susceptible to corrosion. Tapco Trigger Set: While the pull may vary from receiver to receiver I have heard it is a generally good set. Picatinny Rail on Foregrip: Throw a vertical or slanted grip on it right out of the box. Side Scope Mount: If mounting an optic is something you want, this is a feature you want out. It could be pricey to pay someone to add this later so I wanted it from the factory. There are a variety of quick release mounts out there. I picked one up for $50. Since buying the rifle: Purchase and shipping from Buds went flawlessly as expected. Thanks! I worried about some of the horror stories I had heard about sight canting and ridiculous magazine wobble. Since there is not a metric for ridiculous I used numbers. Front sight was canted right 1/32'' and the magazine wobble from the bottom of the mag was 3/8'' each way. I didn't think that was unreasonable for an AK. Also the finish was better than expected. No rust in or out and the internals has visible lubrication on them. Putting several hundred rounds through it not one problem or issue. Things you will want: I needed a washer for my slant compensator, it was loose. Factory iron sights are simple and asking to be replaced. Factory mag is not bad but not but not "possibly the best AK mag" as their web site claims. I kept it to practice reloads. My ONLY issue with the weapon is that the gas tube rattles a bit which is annoying.

This gun is AWESOME. The quality was much better than I had expected. I had heard there was some quality control issues in the past - which obviously have been fixed. The sights were on straight, the rivets were set perfectly - no dented receiver, crooked or high set rivets. My only minor complaint is the included plastic magazine...it wobbles L/R about 3/4". I ordered two surplus European steel mags and they fit much better. The seams on the plastic stock needed a little trimming with a razor blade at the mould seams, no big deal. It did however, come with a nice cleaning kit w/pouch - a nice surprise, However It didn't come with the cleaning rod...again, no biggie... $8 bucks online. Also the fore grip in the description looks like the old Tapco plastic. The (updated?) fore grip on mine is stamped with I.O and has a small picatinny rail on the bottom, which my hand grip slid on perfectly! It also came with two screw on side rails to mount a tac light etc to the fore grip. In addition, it surprisingly came with a CNC milled scope mount attached. (sweet). A bit of the blueing around the scope mount is a little rough - again a minor blemish, but hey it's an AK, not a safe queen. I ran over 60 rnds through it and it shot perfectly with cheap Walmart steel cased ammo. It has a GREAT trigger...smooth and decisive. I polished up the trigger group with a dremel for even smoother action. This gun is probably the best bang for your buck for an AK. You will NOT be disappointed for $531!!! The transaction with Bud's was smooth and easy as usual with regular email updates on the order status. HAPPY CAMPER!!!!

This is an excellent riffle for the price, very accurate and packs alot of punch with the 7.62 mm that you just dont get with the ar15's 223. Yes, the sear does stick at first, but the problem ceased to exist after about 60 rounds. Theres is basically nothing to this gun, very easy to work on. I would absolutely recommend this ak.

As usual, shipping was really fast and I got just what I ordered. Put about 60 rounds through this IO AK47C this weekend and never had one issue. It shot fast, accurate, and is easily going to become my favorite gun in the safe. I was lucky to get this rifle at 360 bucks from Buds, but it's easily worth every penny of $503. I shot steel cased ammo through it and it ran flawlessly, I love that cheap ammo runs through this thing like butter! I would highly recommend this AK47.

Buds : amazing prices, GREAT staff, and shipping that could not be faster ! This is a wonderful AK. Quality in everyway, solid, and looks great. IO customer service is very good as well. I have had some trouble getting the bolt carrier removed and would like to know if removal requires a special technique or is just tight and needs a little extra force. Email me at mr.dilly@gmail. Thanks and thank you Buds!

This is an update to my last review. After polishing the contact areas between the sear and the back of the hammer with some emory paper, this gun has functioned flawlessly. It fires different brands of ammo with no hiccups, and is accurate. This rifle is well worth the money, and I would give it five stars if it were not for the initial trigger problem.

This was my first purchase from Buds. I have had it for about 7 months and I am very impressed. I have only had one problem; the magazine that came with it fell out everytime I pulled the trigger. I called Inter Ordnance and they sent me a new mag. The gun is nicer than I expected and nobody comes close to Bud's price on this gun. Thanks

Using Bud's was very simple and straight forward, but the rifle does not fire properly. It seems that the hammer was sticking under the sear after each round was fired leaving the trigger stuck in the middle of its travel. To fire the next round you have to tap the side of the trigger, or jiggle the slide handle. At first it was every round, then every five rounds, but after one hundred rounds, the problem still exists. I'm very happy with Bud's service, but very dissatisfied with the rifle. I'm not real familiar with these rifles, so I guess I'm going to have to visit my local gun shop to get it serviced. After all of the reviews on this rifle, I'm very disappointed to say the least.

Very nice AK and it's made in the USA. I received my AK last week and was pleasantly surprised at how well made it was. My FFL transfer dealer is also a gun smith and he commented on how nice the trigger is. I ran about 60 rounds thru mine last weekend with only a sticking trigger for a problem. The trigger stick went away after about 15 rounds. The only thing I don't like about it is the short rear stock. I took care of that with a collapsable stock purchase from Buds. All in all a great buy.

The rifle looks much better in person and feels good with the OE stock and forearm. The stock actually has a rubber pad on it. The sights, tubes, and reciever were all true to center line. Finish is quality to say the least. Barrel is a 1:10 twist ratio through 16 inches made by Mossberg if I'm not mistaken. Totally new rifle (not the mangled Century WASR garbage). The black thermomold magazine is very good (Bud's shouldnt waste money on shipping the second metal one...it was all rusted and not worth the space it takes up). My Radom magazines from Poland lock and fit in well too. The Tapco trigger is very smooth on dry fire (no range time yet). I put a Leapers rail'd receiver cover on mine (still have iron sights visible / usable as back up) to set up my optics and I am VERY PLEASED! Over all seems to be a well built and very quality rifle. Just remember that the muzzle is threaded LH so it is righty loosie lefty tighty!! I forgot and cranked the Tapco slant brake the wrong way damaging the threads some when I wanted to take it off to put my J-Tac on. Even with the rolled / flattened threads we muscled the new brake on and it looks very good and should perform even better. And to top it off Bud's beat their shipping promise. They got it out the same / next day and was @ my FFL ready for pickup so fast it was hard to believe. In general to me this $429, is a great price for a solid rifle.
