Great weapon for those who like "striker" version hand guns. My only complaint with the gun is the trigger pull. For me it feels like I'm squeezing semi stiff rubber. Doesn't feel like some triggers pull, like on a 1911 or some other trigger that doesn't not incorporate a safety mechanism in the trigger. Not sure where the price came from that's listed with this review, but I certainly did not pay $ 6543. 21

As usual, Buds is extremely fast on their shipping and this was my 10th or 11th handgun purchase.
However this pistol isn't worth having in my opinion. I brought it home, cleaned and lubed it and went to the range. Unfortunately, it jammed every time.
I expected more out of a S&W. To say I'm disappointed is an understatement.

Never had a single problem with ANY M&P. Full, compact or sub-compact have all operated flawlessly.

Luv it. Feels great in the hand and shoots with no issues. Can't say enough about smith and Wesson and the M&P line.

M&P 9mm full size is better than advertised. Plenty of capacity, fits perfectly in the hand (with large backstrap), takes down relatively easy, and does not accumulate a lot of dust/powder. Slide is easy to rack, recoil is very manageable, and accuracy is pretty good. Still fine-tuning my grip so accuracy should improve over time. Have shot 4 different types of FMJ ammo (250+ rounds) with no malfunctions. The trigger isn't the best I've experienced, but I'm gonna reevaluate after about 500 rounds...but it's already plenty accurate inside of 12 yds. Fit and finish are top of the line. Highly recommended for both new and experienced handgun owners.

The product is great as you could imagine with S&W. I put 300 rounds thru it so far with no problems using a few different types of ammo. All in all love the gun good price.

I got the s&w m&p 17+1 last summer and since then I have put over 400 rounds down range. This weapon has worked perfectly. Also I would like to thank buds gun shop for there service. It was excellent. No problems what so ever. Started paying on another gun recently. I Will continue to business with buds gun shop.

Ordered gun 4/28/15 picked up from FFL on 5/7/15. Gun was made 12/12/14 and due to S&W packing in the case and handing gun has worn spots on one side only. Will have the gunsmith take care when gun goes in for up grades. I have used these before and like these MP's A good first gun. Wife is going to buy hers after she uses mine. Will be going to range soon to put 200 rounds through it to see how it handles. Will be buying more MP soon. Rating is due to worn spots and not how gun shoots and is made. Good value for money.

Picked up my gun about 2 weeks with no problem, transaction was easy and simple. I took gun to the range today. I just put a couple drops of oil in a few spots and qualified with no problem. I had guys shooting Glock's asking to see my gun. I plan on purchasing a shield for my backup pistol. Best gun I own, actually I like it better than my 40 & 45. I got my S&W pistol today. Everything went perfect. Quick background at Gun Shop and I walked out with my firearm. First time to buy at Buds Gun Shop. Very impressed. Was recommended by my law enforcement friends. I am retired...

Received firearm from Buds in timely order. Did a functional check and all seemed well. During a trip to the local range I attempted to make a minor adjustment to the rear sight windage -frozen. Gun functioned well however the trigger feels like sandpaper on takeup. At home I tried to break loose the rear sight for adjustment with a hammer and block of wood - no luck. A new firearm should not require a trip to a gunsmith or return to mfg.

Sent my MO in on 1/21/2015 and pistol arrived 1/28/2015 which was pretty amazing to me. That's just 7 days including time for the MO to get to Bud's, a weekend and shipment from Bud's. They made ordering very easy and efficient with all reps. being very friendly and helpful,l and my FFL was on file which made it smooth too. The only question I could not get a definite answer to was "How many magazines come with the pistol?" The rep. did indicate that on most pistols they do not check the number of magazines but that the pistol would come with what the manufacturer normally includes. I got a great price and two magazines were included with the pistol. I purchased the M&P9 which I have taken to the range. The pistol is a great shooter and operated flawlessly. The trigger pull is a bit hard but as I got used to it my groups improved quite well. The Thumb Safety is convenient and I am glad I did choose to get this model with it. I am considering installing the Apex Aluminum Trigger and Forward Set Sear Kit. I did check with them on the Thumb Safety and was told that it is not a problem with this installation. All in all, I am very satisfied with the transaction and the pistol. I will recommend Bud's to others!

Very satisfied with this purchase. Cleaned it upon receiving it and took it to the range to test it out. Fired 100 rounds of American Eagle through it and 50 rounds of Speer Lawman, no problems, no FTF's, no FTE's, it ran perfectly. It comes with three different sizes of grips, which is a very nice feature, the large one fits my hand best. The thumb safety feels solid and is easily engaged/disengaged. I had read prior to buying that M&P triggers weren't that great, and almost bought an apex kit before the gun even arrived based on all the reviews. I am so happy I waited, because the stock trigger on mine is great. Very crisp break, the pull weight feels right, and the reset is very clear. It does have a bit of takeup on the front end, but that doesn't bother me one bit. Mine has a manufacture date of Oct 2014, so it must have one of the newer triggers from S&W. Bottom line, couldn't be happier, great gun for a great price.

First purchase with Buds and I can say it was a pretty enjoyable experience. Anyway, I received the gun and examined it. Gun was brand new as stated, Beautiful thing. Took it out to the range and burned 200 rounds through it without even cleaning it. Gun ran like a champ. Had one FTE, but that was my fault. Took the gun home, field stripped and cleaned. 100 rounds of federal fmj brass case and 100 rounds of winchester white box treated the gun nicely. Not much to clean. Firearm is now my go to home defense pistol. Love this thing.

Awesome experience first time online gun buyer. As for the gun after deciding on which model I was looking for and handling a few locally I bought this one and am quite pleased its a great shooter and put 100 rounds through it seems like its gonna have to stick around awhile. Can't wait to do business again Buds is awesome!

Bought this for my wife ,,as this is what she chose after trying ,Sig ,FN, Glock,Ruger ....Beautiful weapon...Cleaned and lubed ,then took to the range..Found it to very accurate right out of box...Very comfortable....Wife loves it ,,and i think it's a great piece ,,like it almost as much as my FN FNS-9...Thinking of getting the .40 now for myself...Great price from Buds...Great communication,,,The one i rec'd has a test fire date of less than 60 days ago,,so ,a very recent build . The only disappointing part of the deal was that it took the whole 7 business days to ship,,but Buds was still within what they advertise ..i'm an instant gratification type...but ,,it was $75 less than th LGS around here ..Will definietly by from again

The shipping was considerably longer than what I am used to from Buds, however, it wasn't unreasonable. Typically it's at FFL in about 48 hours. It took over a week this go around. I ordered three guns at the same time, so maybe that factored in to it a little and I know Labor day factored for one day. All in all, people looking for a gun should go with Buds. As far as the gun itself goes, my second M&P and I love them. Great gun, reasonable price, very accurate. Smith & Wesson has a great product. Never had an issue with my first, certainly wouldn't expect an issue with this one. First one has had about 1500 rounds down the barrel and each one shoots like the first (maybe even a little better than the first!).

Great pistol. Already pushed 1000+ rounds and not one single jam. Perfect groupings at 10/20/30 feet. Buds service was great. Even with the big rush I ordered Jan 23 and received the 24th !!
