Ok so I haven't shot this gun but let's be honest tgis sounds like a good gun and maybe it is but the handle seems really small doesn't fill my entire hand so for that I don't like it just a personal preference

Not same gun in picture, but the black oxide is still a good look. Problem is the 3” shells seem to me too long- 2 different types of Winchester .410’s and they are too long for chamber and won’t advance into the firing position. The instruction book is generic and doesn’t even cover the 4510 model so unclear if it’s a defect of maybe you aren’t suppose to use 3” shells.

Great pistol, Budsgunshop is my go to.

I’ve been debating whether to order this gun or not. I read that some thought it too big to carry concealed. When I first holstered it on my hip, it did not drag my pants down nor imprint my over-shirt. Nice sized gun. Received in excellent shape. I’m very happy with this firearm.

Beautiful gun at the best price around, even after transfer fees. It turns out that the stock photo on the website shows a shiny blued version of the pistol, but it actually comes with a matte finish. Still looks great though, and I’m glad to finally have one.

I would definitely not consider this a "fun" gun to shoot, but it would do the job as a last resort type weapon for sure. It definitely packs a punch! I've owned this gun for a long time and have never had any issues with it, so I definitely recommend it for what it does.

There are so many reasons to have made this purchase. Great product for personal security. Well built. Shoots well. Looks good. Have enjoyed this on each opportunity I have had to use it.

cylinder locked up on federal handgun premium defense 000 buck. contacted taurus for path forward, still waiting for response. Update: Taurus had the gun fixed and back to me super fast. The gun now functions without issue. Great service, and now I can say that the Public Defender provides reliable, great patterns with Federal 000 buck.

Works Great and feel I can depend on this one. With proper ammo and distance it does what it should.

Love my judge. Always feel safe with this in my nightstand and glove box. To big to carry.

Just bought this gun from Bud's. Great service and a lifetime waranntee. The gun shoots like a dream. I fired 2.5 " slugs out of it , not bad recoil nice flame out of the barrel to scare the bad guy, muzzle velocity 1850. where are you going to get this kind of knock down power? not from a 44 mag ! I was thinking of getting of getting a Ruger super red hawk 2" . Instead bought the Judge 3". I intend to fire 3 " 1/4 ounce rifled slugs out of it. Also you can't beat Bud's prices. Bud's sells to the public cheaper than the gun shop can buy it from the wholesalers.This gun and Bud's overall is a grand slam. Accurate as heck to.

I just love this gun. This is my go to “truck” gun. It is fun to shoot and always reliable. Easy to clean and shoot. Buds packaging and shipping was excellent again. Recommended

Perfect size gun small and compacted..its the matt black witch i loved. Came in reg. Taurus cardboard box.had a front sight protector on it when i opened it so it wont be damaged during transfer.has orange fiber optic front sight,will maybe find front nightsight or change to green or yellow fiber optic.the trigger on double action is smooth all the way threw.but when its in single action the trigger is almost all the way back it shocked my buddies how light it was and small of a squeeze it took to fire it.. its almost there with my 1911 trigger(SingleAction)...and Grips are nice ,feels good in the hands.bought it thursday got it monday evening arrived 3 hours early. Witch was great.and IT IS better looking then on picture with the matt black finish.i picked black because its a carry with me gun & in truck, etc. Not worried about scratches nor wearmarks.i know if i take good care of it..(cleaning/lubeing etc)it will take care of me!

Bought the Public Defender as a conceal carry weapon. Seems like a very well built, solid revolver. Took it to the range where i ran some .410 #6 birdshot, .410 PDX self defense rounds, and some .45 colt ammo through it. The revolver handled all these rounds very well and it shoots surprisingly accurate despite only having a 2.5" barrel. The recoil is not as bad as I thought it would be, but it does kick pretty good whether you're shooting .410 or .45 colt ammo. The only thing I am thinking about changing is the grips, I have some big hands and the stock grips are OK, just think slightly larger grips would help manage the recoil and help with the accuracy a bit. Overall I really like the Public Defender, it cycled through all the ammo I put through it without any problems and it's fun to shoot.

I received a Taurus 4510PD-3B M4510 Public Defender 5RD 2" barrel 410ga/45LC 2.5" chamber as a gift from my brother a few years ago. It's now my favorite self-defense handgun. I like it so much I purchased two of them at Bud's Guns. Although the ones I received are flat black finish, unlike the shiny black finish in the photo on the site, they are the same pistols. This pistol is great for home defense & auto defense. I have even carried it concealed without a problem. One thing to note while carrying concealed if using the .410 shotgun shells, one would need to be cautious of the pattern to be sure one wouldn't accidentally shoot bystanders. When using the Winchester PDX1 I found a pattern of about 12" diameter at 15 feet. The pistol also holds .45 LC, which might be a better choice when carrying concealed. It's my understanding that this particular model is no longer manufactured by Taurus, so get one, or two or more while you can. You won't regret it. The service at Bud's is the best anywhere on the web.

Perfect size gun for personal protection. I find the regular judges too big and cumbersome to maneuver quickly. I am sure the other sized judges are more "fun" or "pleasant to shoot", but this is the one I want for protection.

Great gun at a great price. I bought the Public Defender 2" Blued blimished the price was lower than I could find it in stock anywhere else even used. The blimishes on the gun I recieved were so small it was hard to find them and I thought due to the heavy oill on the gun that it could have been dryed oil. There was a small spot near the serial number the size of one of the letters and smaller one near the Taurus logo. I saw more chips on display models at national chain stores. The gun was heavily oiled and very stiff out of the box but after a quick cleaning with CLP the gun loosened up and is great to shoot. Shooting PDX 1 and 000 Buck 410 rounds is about the same recoil as the .45 Colt not bad at all. My 11 year old son was able to fire both calibers fine. The shot from the PDX ammo is thrown very wide even at close ranges and may spread beyond a man size target at less than 5 yards. Bird shot also spreads very wide very quickly. Bud's was great to buy from and I used the Make Offer and was able to get the price down slightly. I would buy from Bud's again.
