The price is right. It is a little prone to jams,(at least for me), but lubricating the slide helps. This gun is what my wife shoots at the range and she shoots 200-300 rounds at her zombie targets every time, so if I have to clear a few jams, I'm okay with that.

Fantastic little fun gun. As accurate as it can be with factory sights and 100% reliable.

Bought one of these for a plinker last fall. Didn't want to write a review until I'd had some time with it. For the price I consider it good overall. Has a very solid feel in the hand. Shoots nice groups at 25 yds. I wouldn't use it as a carry gun, it's strictly for fun. Would make a good handgun for some one new to pistol shooting provided you use the right ammo. It is VERY finicky about ammo. It just plain does not like some rounds. In the Fail to Feed, Fail to Eject, & Fail to Fire categories, the following types had an 8% to 22% of 50 rounds problem rate. American Eagle and Remington Thunderbolt, 8%. Winchester Wildcats 12%. Aguila Super Extra 22%. In the good: CCI Standard Velocity had a single misfire. The winner was Geco "Optimized for Semi-Auto Rifles & Pistols", 100% flawless smooth fast chambering and ejecting. The Geco rounds feel like they have a light waxy/oily lube on them, but didn't seem to leave any residue of any kind.

Buds service was great as usual. However, this pistol is not as great. It is a decent plinker pistol but will only shoot reliably if using quality ammo. Bulk ammo will not cycle at all through it. If shooting bulk ammo I have to manually extract every casing from the chamber. I would definitely recommend spending the extra money and buying a Colt or a Sig

This is a simple basic hand gun, but WOW what great accuraccy - and even with cheap bulk ammo. We really like this gun for target practice. It looks and feels like a real 1911 except for the light slide and recoil of course. It came with two 10-rd magazines, a barrel brush, and a locking key - nice package. Some safety items: The "Manual Keyed Safety" is just a simple hammer block, it does not lock any of the movements and all functions operate in the keylocked position except the hammer cannot hit the firing pin. The hammer de-cock is a little different to us. You cannot decock by thumbing the hammer back and pulling the trigger, the hammer will not drop. You must pull the trigger with the hammer in the full-tension cocked position (with your thumb between the hammer and the pin of course). This is maybe a safety feature? (to prevent a thumb slip if you pull it back). There is no pre-cock to prevent a hammer strike on a slip, and the gun WILL FIRE if the hammer is dropped even from half way, and even if the trigger is not pulled. For this reason we only de-cock with an empty chamber and never have the condition of a round in the chamber with the hammer down. The only issue we have is some occasional FTE's. Though we have only used cheap ammo so far and we're still getting used to the best grip technique. With the light action these are easy to clear, but we would not consider this gun for carry or home defense. As with many 1911's you must really stretch your hand to reach the slide release, but this is just the way it is. We look forward to many years of ownership of this fine pistol.

Great little gun overall, will fail to eject pretty often if your not disciplined on keeping it from recoiling in your hand. This could be a good thing if your using this for training...it teaches you how to clear Jams quickly! I enjoy the gun and it is quite accurate to 20yds. Came with 2 mags and more available on eBay. Not as reliable as my rock solid SR22, but it's also half the $$$.

I like the gun very much. It needed a good cleaning before it was shot. Also use a good quality ammo.

Like pistol, cleaned ran 200 through it with no jams or misfires. Magazines not metal left a lot to be desired. Be much better if it had metal clips and rear site.. Bud's was great as usual and really fast. Overall very happy to have it AND lifetime warranty, thanks Bud's!

I was a little worried about this firearm when I ordered it. A lot of five star/one star reviews. I got the gun home and thoroughly cleaned it. Disassembled everything, scrubbed, and oiled according to the directions. Reassembled and took to the range. The instructions specifically say the firearm has a 250-300 round break in period. I used 100 rounds of CCI mini mags, and then switched to regular Federal champion. Out of 400 rounds I had two stove pipes and one FTF; that was it. Brought it home and cleaned it up again. The Good: It's cheap! And with the $8.95 insurance from Bud's seemingly a good value. Mine came with two mags. Seems reliable as long as you use high velocity ammo, keep it oiled and clean. The Bad: The finish, trigger, grips, and sights. The two mags I received are polymer. Conclusion: For around $195 delivered it's a pretty sweet deal. You're not buying a Dan Wesson, it's a cheap knockoff. It's a good plinker, something to train with, and a good gun to get new people into shooting.

I have had this .22 for a few years and it has been a good starter gun. It is easy and fun to shoot. The only issue I have had with it was with the mags but was an simple fix. When I first got the gun I keep getting failure to feeds. To fix this issue I left my mags loaded for a few weeks. After that I have not had any issues with it.

My wife and I just carried the Citadel M 1911 out to the range and was impressed with this purchase. I gave it a good cleaning before we fired this 1911, fired 100 rounds with only one minor shell hang up and this was probably caused by improper powder charge in shell. This gun is well worth the $179 price and if you have doubts just purchase the $8.95 lifetime warranty. The quality of this gun is just like the more expensive Browning guns and it cost less than $200. Highly recommended gun for beginners to learn to shoot, sights needed a little adjustment but no problem. The only problem was took longer to ship as it was sent from another warehouse location out West but over all Bud's is great place to buy your guns.

I bought it over a year ago, it jams every clip. Called maker of the gun and they won't stand behind. They said I can send it in in a few weeks (they will call when they ready to accept it) but it might cost me over $100 plus shipping if gun smith thinks its not there problem. I followed all instructions out the box and it still jams.

This is my first purchase from Budsgunshop.com, and I will definetly buy a Mosin Nagant M38, I bought this pistol on Dec. of 2012 and this gun is really accurate and can make great groups under 1i nch, this gun comes with two magazines and a nice quality case. It's really worth the money and I also bought an extra magazine with it!

Although i got this in December, i really haven't had the chance to put any rounds downrange with it until April. So far i have had 2 shooting sessions with it. I followed the instructions concerning the initial field stripping, cleaning and lubrication before my first outing. Plus a good cleaning after using. My first impressions of this firearm have been less than positive. I love the feel and heft of it. It's a great looking and feeling pistol, especially for this price. My biggest issue has been Jam, jam, jam, jam. I cannot get through a 10 round magazine without at least 3-4 FTE's. Admittedly, the Remington ammo i am using isn't the greatest in the world, but my other 22's seem to feed it just fine. I did run a magazine of CCI's through it, and had 1 FTE. The manual does specify a break in period, so i am going to give this pistol the benefit of the doubt. I have only run a little over 100 rounds through it so far. I will run another 150-200 through it, then we will see if things improve. I am thinking they will, and as such am giving this pistol 4 stars.
