Excellent firearm. I love the 1911 design. Shoots flawlessly. Very accurate, smooth slide action. Very fun linking pistol.

An excellent choice to practice with a 1911 without the cost of 45ACP ammo, Looks, feels the same-no recoil . A well built firearm that came off the same production line as the Sig version I am told. It is a little particular on what you feed it. No problems though when using CCI Mini-Mags 40gr. Cheap ammo not advised. Sights very accurate right out of the box. We use this as one of the training guns on a NRA Pistol Safety course we teach. Had this one for a number of years and no problems. Highly recommend for both target and plinking.

Really love the GSG 1911 .22 LR I received from BUDS. Handles and shoots well with all ammo i have shot so far. Feels like an actual .45 ACP in your hands. Fun to shoot and looks great too.

My friend bought a Walther-Colt 1911 in .22 LR a few years back. I was a bit jealous. Since I got this GSG 1911 in .22 LR, he's been a tiny bit jealous. That same friend, when I griped about my own pistol marksmanship shortcomings, would always ask, "Do you know what makes the difference between a bad shot and a good shot?" Then, answering his own question before I drew a breath to speak, he'd say, "A thousand rounds." Sounded right to me. So, when I got my Tisas 1911 Commander in .45 ACP, I bought this at the same time. The arithmetic makes sense to me. The average co$t difference between .45 ACP and .22 LR ammo means that the GSG 1911 will pay for itself in less than 900 rounds. The GSG weight difference is 1-1/2 ounces less, both unloaded. As a trainer/plinker, this made sense to me. This thing is a pleasure to shoot. The trigger is only slightly lighter than my Tisas 1911, which is just fine. Both are where I like them as a non-competitive shooter. I am very happy with this purchase. Thanks Bud's. Y'all are battin' 1000 with me!

Great 1911 trainer. It's got the weight and size of a 1911 spot on. The one thing is the barrel pins can become loose, but a bit of very weak loktight solved it. Pros Easy to clean Easy to shoot Great value for its price Cons Comes with 1 mag Some loose pins Overall; well worth it.

I purchased this gun to have a 1911 that was affordable to shoot, I am extremely happy with the performance very accurate no jams, shoots all ammo I put through. I am hitting a steel 8 inch plate from 30-40 yards away .Very high-quality build I like it so much I am ordering another one!

I love these 22lr pistol. I have had lots of fun planking but this pistol very accurate and a good shooter. Feels just like a 45 1911 without the bang.
