Very nice purchase from Buds. The FN SCAR 17S is a great rifle that shoots very accurately while being pretty light for a 7.62mm. There are some parts I plan on swapping out down the road but overall I am very happy with my purchase of this very high end battle rifle.

Amazing rifle. Heavy, as expected but very reliable. Have not had any jams, misfeeds, or other issues. Consistent and definitely worth it.

This is absolutely the finest gun in my collection. Recoil is much like a 5.56. It's ridiculously accurate with iron sights, I am shopping for scope because my eyes are not great. You can not go wrong with this rifle. Worth every bit of its price!!!!

Wow! a truly awesome little rifle. light weight .308 firepower! This is a keeper. A very capable weapon system that is accurate and heavy hitting.

This is one incredibly bad-a$$ gun. The 308 caliber is great for hunting big game in the fall and stopping anything else in defensive situations. The fit and finish are outstanding, everything on it fits like a glove. The stock sights are excellent for me out to 75 yards, but I have aged some, so a younger man could do better. Installing rail items is easy, I put Tango down grips on the sides and bottom and that also helped to hold it when shooting. If you are looking for something beyond a AR style rifle with a superb quality of workmanship, this is the battle rifle for you. The civilian versions are made in Belgium then shipped to the USA, while the military versions are made in the USA. I have not found any other brand that offers a better battle rifle than the FN SCAR 17S. It is expensive, but you do get all that you pay for in this one.

This is one sweet firearm. Everything you need for whatever comes at you. Very easy to handle in close quarter operations and dead on accurate 100 to 200 yards. 8 hogs down the first night out. 100 rounds and not a single problem and ammo is avaialble again. Accomodates all accessories you could want add. This gun will do the job.

The SCAR 17 is fantastic. It's quite a bit lighter than my springfield socom 16 for starters and I should get so much gas in the face when shooting it with a suppressor. Accuracy is also very good. Takedown is simple and very straight forward. It handles very nicely and I have to say if you are in the market for a 308 rifle this should be at the top. The only draw back is it took me a few weeks to get some extra magazines.

11/15/12 SCAR Very happy with my purchase on the .308 SCAR. Here in New Orleans all of the guns are priced +/- $250 to $500 higher than on line at Bud's so it's a no brainer to buy from Bud's. I have since bought 2 more guns in the last 4 weeks saving over $800 but the best part is i can't find the selection of guns anywhere around my area and if they carry them they are out of stock. Shipping has been good with no delays when using a Credit card! I will continue to buy all of the guns that i can find here at Bud's. Now if I could just fine the time to go shoot them. Lol

This is one OUTSTANDING rifle! I couldn't be more happy with this purchase. The SCAR does come with some cleaning up to do initially. Of course it had the normal packing grease, but they store these rifles in heavy duty cardboard boxes, which sheds all over the rifle. Yes, it is still difficult to find magazines for it as well. I have a ton of weapons I've purchase over the years, this is by far my favorite! Not only does it perform flawlessly, it has extremely low recoil for the .308, fully adjustable, and the sights are spot on. This is truely a nice battle rifle. Buds was a little slow on the shipping which was disappointing, especially for the price paid.
