Amazing accuracy for a slug gun - if you use the right ammo. With regular slugs I could stay on a pie-plate at 25 yards. With Remington accutip sabots I had 1.5 moa at hundred yards with two of the three in the same hole. If you’re hunting in a non-rifle state, this is the way to go. I put a green/gray laminated stock on it and it blends beautifully in the gun cabinet.

Must have been the first few barrels on the Jig. Shoots consistent. Didn't have to change a single thing other then zero. Strait nail driver.

Savage 220 arrived in perfect condition. Buds offered the cheapest price anywhere I could find by far. I was nervous ordering online at first without talking to a person over the phone, and being out of state. After seeing Buds ranked high in polls of online retailers, recommended by my FFL, and seeing they had a great Better Business Bureau rating when things were wrong with other customers, I finally placed the order. Customer Service was great during the ordering process. Gun arrived about a week after placing the order. Very pleased and would recommend Buds to anyone wanting to buy a gun for a great price.

I purchased a Savage 220 a few years back. I thought enough about it to buy one for my son. I can comfortably make 200 yard shots. Can't go wrong with the Norton's 3 in 1 gaurentee offered at Bud's.

We ordered 3 of these guns for a shotgun only hunting lease. The gun came from buds perfectly. I was not pleased with the stock savage had put on the gun. Very flimsy plastic stock. If you rest the gun on the forearm of the stock it will bend and contact the barrel. The magazine is very cheaply made and resembles something you would get on a child's toy. Gun shot about a 3' group at 100 yard. I experimented with a lot of different ammo and settled on the 3" accutips. I got grouping size to 12" @ 100 yards. I did some major stock work, reinforce fore grip and butt stock with fiberglass. Then bedded the action. This help reduce grouping to about 6". This is a 100-150 yard gun at best.

Very accurate. Will out shoot some rifles. Also light and handy with very little recoil. I hunt with one, and my friend was so impressed he bought one.

Big Bang for your buck with the 220. Accurate with the recommended ammo (3” accutips) out to 200 yds. I used a Khales Gen 3 6-24 for Accuracy testing and it did not disappoint. I will caution you about using a bipod, the stock is so thin an flimsy up front it should be shot from a rest or in hand. The bipod cause torsion and deformation like I’ve never seen. I will caveat that last sentence by saying all of my other stocks are Manners or McMillan, so this is my first factory stock in 15 years. It’s definitely worth replacing down the road but not entirely necessary. Overall I’m very pleased

I have owned many slug gun over the years but nothing lie this. This is by far the most accurate one i have ever seen.This is more like a rife clover leaf groups. If you have to slug hunt buy it you will not regret it.

My two best hunting buddies have this gun and strongly recommended it. Upon further reviews, most agree this is the best for slug gun states. I topped mine with a Nikon Slughunter and it has performed flawlessly out to 200 yards. Five stars.

This is a great slug gun for people living in slug gun only states. It shoots like a rifle and is very accurate My wife and I have 20 ga. models and I have a couple that my kids shoot. For what it cost, you can't go wrong with this gun. My wife has shot two white tails that were a little over 100 yards away. My son in law shot one at about 150 yards. He said the point of impact was right where he aimed for. This is a great deer hunting gun. You can't go wrong with it..

The Savage 220 I bought is extremely accurate I love it

Great price and amazing rifle. Bought this because I love hunting with a bolt action rifle. We can't use them however where I live now. This fills that gap perfect. I installed a Nikon Buckmasters scope and this gun will drop em at 200 yds all day. Great price. A lot less than local shops. Easy to clean and reassemble at home or in the field. Very well put together and the recoil is hardly noticeable. Lastly the bolt cycles like a higher end rifle. My wife likes shooting it as well. Awesome job buds thanks again.
