Built like a tank!!!!!! Solid construction and well balanced in the hands. Absolutely no issues with it and I've fired standard 38's, 38+p, and all the way up to 158gr 357 magnum loads. It eats everything. Buds service is smooth and quick as always.

If you are considering this gun, you won't regret the purchase, I promise you! Make sure to get plenty ammo too, a box goes pretty quick. I can't seem to get enough, this is a fun, accurate gun to shoot. You can run the hottest, heaviest magnums you can find in it with no issues (I like Underwood) or plink with .38 SPL to give your wrist a break, either way, you can't go wrong with this one. Ruger craftsmanship is legendary, and so is the customer service at BUD'S! DO IT! You won't regret it!

Hickock45 recommended Bud's as a good shop to deal with. I found their price for the GP100/4" .357 very competitive. I took advantage of ACH payment to get the cash price. I was surprised that clearing took 5 business days, but I was like a kid waiting for Christmas. Once cleared, the gun showed up at my FFL in New Mexico in a week. I've only put 100 rounds though it and getting used to it pretty well. I really like it's heft. It makes my Hellcat Pro feel like a feather. In my case, the weight seems to mitigate a lot of the felt recoil. Wasn't sure if I'd like the grip and it turns out, they fit my hand well & are quite comfortable. I'll probably put some white on the front sight to help these 71 year old eyes find it more easily. This is my second gun purchase. The first was the Hellcat Pro around Christmas. I have been looking to purchase a Ruger GP100 for some time now. A friend of mine has purchased items from Buds in the past and highly recommend that I check them out. Have been eyeing this revolver for over a year, so finally to decide to purchase. As usual, Buds Team was very efficient and got the order to me with 3 business days. My problem is the pistol had a defect that I did not question before picking it up at the FFL. That is, the weld that connects the barrel to the cylinder had a noticeable bubble in the steel; looks like a weld that was not laid down right or a defect in steel. Also, the trigger guard was pretty rough around the edges, not much sanding/polishing after the saw cut. Since I had already accepted at the FFL, I did not contact Bud's. Took it upon myself to contact Ruger and they have authorized return for repair...could take 4-6 weeks. In the meantime, I have never fired the pistol and will keep my fingers crossed that the repair is up to Ruger standards. Will continue to do business with Buds but I question sending the defective pistol in the first place. Had I sent it back to Bud's, I am sure they would have replaced it. However, when paying that kind of money for a Ruger product, did not expect a defective barrel.

In my opinion probably the best 357 ever made. Reliable and comfortable to shoot. Feels good in your hand and doesn't ring your hand when you shoot it. Buy it you won't regret it.

This is my only wheel gun and I love it for what it is. It's not for concealment and won't carry a lot of rounds but it's a great and reliable gun to shoot and to have around the house. Thanks Buds.

This revolver is an absolute tank. The double action trigger is smooth and not as heavy feeling as I expected. The single action trigger is light and crisp. The experience with Bud’s was very positive. From selecting what I wanted to picking up my gun was awesome. I’m looking forward to many more transactions with Bud’s.

Great woods companion.

I am very happy with this purchase. The firearm is stoutly built and has performed flawlessly over several thousand rounds. It is heavy (as expected) and handles recoil very well, even with hot mag loads. My only complaint is the quality of the finish. The side of the barrel has machining marks that were not buffed out. That said, this is not a show gun so I can live with it.

This pistol is outstanding. I stalled for many years to buy it. It is a solid and accurate firearm. Love that fact that it is stainless, and heavy.

Love it. As a small female, can be considered heavy but that helps with kickback. Feels good in my hand and accurate shot.

This is a great revolver. It is built like a tank and well finished. The Hogue grip is comfortable and adsorbs recoil well. Ruger has easy to follow videos on their website for cleaning and maintenance.

What can I say, it’s a GP100. Built like a tank and goes bang every time. If I could only have 1 revolver the GP100 would be it, hands down.

Built like a tank but smooth like a luxury car. Okay, maybe not a Aventador but a high end Acura. The trigger pull is smooth and consistent, the push button for ejecting the cylinder is also quite nice and in my opinion the best style over S&W's push-forward and much better than a Colt's pull-back. I've run through hundreds of rounds in a session and even skipped cleaning between sessions but this thing keeps trucking. It feels like a gun that will last your lifetime and your kid's lifetime without issue. Minor cons are the weight, which actually helps tame the recoil when shooting 357, but I can't see it being a carry revolver. The grip that comes with the revolver is also a bit large and the grooves aren't great if your fingers don't match it perfectly. But affordable third party grips are available and completely change the handling for the better.
