I've been nostalgic about these things for a long time, but when I saw the price on this one I couldn't resist. The Ruger 10/22 is just fun to shoot. I put a simple 4x Weatherby scope on mine, and can plink all afternoon without breaking the bank. (Do yourself a solid, and splurge for a twin-pack of Ruger BX-25 magazines and a Lula speedloader. You'll be glad you did.)

forgot how much fun a 10/22 was. With the cost of ammunition, 22lr is the way to go for a fun range day. Just purchased a scope and can't wait to head back to the range, looking forward to years of fun with this classic. As for Buds they always deliver a great product for a solid price. I will continue to do business with this fine company.

The Ruger 10//22 Carbine, one of the least expensive models I believe, is a great shooter, performs out of the box flawlessly. I did swab the barrel before shooting and wiped away excess oil. It is an amazing shooter and feels good in the hands. I have repaired many old 22 caliber rifles and have some favorites. I will say in all honesty that the Ruger is one of my favorites. What can I say about Buds? How about all the pistols and rifles I've purchased from them over the years? Never an issue at all. Buds is the best and you will not go wrong with this Ruger 10/22. Take if from a guys who knows.

Super fun little plunker, affordable and fun, can't miss. The quality you would expect from a Ruger product, and service and support Bud's aways gives you. Accurate little offering from Ruger, used several different brand of ammunition, no issues. Would purchase this one again.

I waited for several decades before I finally bought a Ruger 10/22. My experience with Buds was, as usual, great. I took it to the range last weekend for my first tryout. It functioned 100%, using the provided 10-shot magazine, plus 4 25-shot Ruger magazines. Recoil was non-existent to the degree that for a moment, I thought the rifle did not fire. But of course it did, and accuracy was very good. But disassembly was very difficult, starting with the two different sized barrel band screw and take down screw. No mention in the instruction manual about what size(s) hex wrenches needed, so I bought a set, as I didn't have any. Once I removed the stock and turned the trigger assembly on its side, the magazine latch pin fell to the floor. It took a great deal of effort to get it back in place. Then to try to punch out the receiver cross pins. I tapped them with a punch and hammer, but they were not budging, so I decided to leave them and clean as best as I could without further breakdown. So overall, this is a good-shooting rifle, but a real hassle to break down for cleaning. If I had it to do over, I'd look more at other rifles before buying this one.
