I bought this Ruger 1022 for the purpose of teaching my grandchildren about firearm safety and shooting sports. It's a great little tool to instill on them our 2nd Amendment rights. This rifle has never let me down.

BEWARE. Apparently Ruger's QC has declined... unbeknownst to me. Bud's was great with ordering, updates, shipping, etc. Got our 10/22 in anticipation of prepping for Project Appleseed. It arrives, I unbox, start to disassemble to clean prior to firing, and the pins do NOT want to budge, even with a punch. Eventually got one out but gave up on the second since there obviously was something wrong. And as I examined it even closer I could see the pin behind the trigger was crooked. Ruger told me to send it back. I did and included a detailed document of the issues/concerns. Was happy to get the call today that the FFL had it. Picked it up right away, unboxed when home, began to disassemble and...there it is. That pin behind the trigger is STILL at an obvious angle which certainly is not by design and will cause a problem with one of America's iconic rifles. And now I have to send it back to Ruger AGAIN and I haven't even had a chance to fire the rifle! The fees for receiving and sending back the rifle added up, so now I'm going to try to do it again directly to them (the first rep was concerned it might have to be re-serialized so preferred FFL). I was hoping Ruger was going to tell me to send it back and they'd send a another one since I obviously received a lemon, or just give me a refund.

It's a 10/22, enough said. It ain't pretty, but it just works!

What can you say about a 10/22? Great rifle to target practice and sights were dead on, out the box. Buds great service and shipping as well.

Beautiful rifle with well -fitting parts. Many optional accessories available to suit anyone's desire. Low cost to shoot. This is a must have for starting shooters.

What can I say that hasn’t already been said about this Ruger 10/22. Proven, tested, tried and true firearm that shoots great and will last forever. Easy to customize and set up however you want. I put a bull barrel and Archangel stock on mine and a scope. Excellent firearm and always priced right on Bud’s. Highly recommend!

I have dreamed of owning this firearm most of my child raising years. lol. My last of 4 kiddos is graduating September. The minute I got the grad date I ordered the 10/22. Upon my initial inspection with my FFL we found that it was was well packaged and had no blemishes. I later broke it down for inspection, lube and found zero discrepancies. The bolt and carrier were pretty wet with lube. I cleaned, lubed and reassembled. I through some CCI Quiet 45 gn. down range and was amazed how quiet and accurate these rounds were. No problems cycling the bolt. I'm a happy camper.

I bought this to own one of the legendary 10/22. After receiving it, I'm not thrilled with it. It seems like the QC at Ruger is lacking. There are gaps and rough edges in many areas. For the price, I didn't expect it to feel premium, but I have BB guns that have a tighter build than this. In retrospect, I wish I would have gotten the wooden stock, but I don't have a lot of confidence that it's better at this point. In short, the gun works. I just wish I had bought a 10/22 decades ago when they evidently had different building standards.

Due to ammo cost these days I have several 22 caliper weapons. This one I shoot regularly , I live in an area that allows me to shoot off my porch I'd say reliability of this weapon is a 10... Repeatability also a 10.I have several different types of magazines for it and it has no issues with any of them. Would I but another one, no, this one will last a life time....

this is an excellent out of the box ready for action rifle. I put a scope on it and she is a beast, eats all brands of ammunition with no hiccups. #1 next to the Marlin Model 60

I simply added the 10/22 to my Bud's wish list, and within a week I got an email saying it was in back in stock. Huge fan of Ruger firearms, and man the 10/22 is absolutely stellar. The design and operation of the magazine is amazing- one of Bill Ruger's greatest inventions. If you like shooting 22lr then you need this firearm, and you have come the right place to get one. With Bud's Gun Shop you will have a hassle free experience and will be pleased the outcome, so no worries there. One note: the plastic stock shipped with the Carbine is less than desirable, so I upgraded to a Hogue. An easy upgrade.
