What an amazing gun! It is my first Henery gun purchase and I couldn't be more pleased. It is a very solid gun and highly accurate. The receiver is milled out of one solid piece of brass and I love the octagon barrel. Owning a Henery rifle is like owning a Harley Davidson. Both pride themselves on being a made in America product and Henery is the oldest gun manufacturing company in America. This gun is the pride of my collection.

I purchased the Henry's mare's leg in a .45 colt caliber. I have fired around 60 round through it so far and have enjoyed each round. It was a little awkward at first as I was used to shooting a handgun or rifle. But soon became comfortable with shooting this gun. The action is smooth and has become smoother the more it is used. Not only is it a pretty gun but it is fun to shoot as well. I like it very much.

This little beast is amazing! If you don't own any Henry Firearms you are missing out. Their customer service as well as that of Bud's Gun Shop is unbelievable.

There was a small, pencil size, discoloration on the brass receiver where it joins the stock. Also scratches on the receiver where the saddle ring rides. I removed the ring.

I love everything about the Henry Mare's Leg 45. The fit and finish are impeccable. The action is smooth and quick. The brass makes it look super classy! Bud's shipped it to my FFL quickly too. This was a flawless transaction!

Purchased the Mare's Leg 45 Colt on 2-6-12 It was in the shipping department later the same day. It shipped two days later 2-8-12.. It arrived at my FFL on Friday 2-10-12. I can't sdee how Bud's couldf have done any better in this transaction. I am now awaiting the delivery of a Taurus Model 85 .38 snubbie. Purchased on 2-09-12. It is still in pending as of today 2-13. The promise od shipping "normally" in 3 to 7 business days is only 2 days out as of today, so I expect to see the shipping notification this week. Therefore, so far, I have to rebutt all the "shipping nightmares" I have read on line, as my experience with Bud's has been nothing but honest and professional on their part. Brien K
