First time I took my PPS43C to the range it worked well. EXCEPT for a very scary near catastrophic failure, it went full-auto on me and fired 4 rounds. After being yelled at by the range master I put it away and went home to sort out the problem. Turns out the hole that the thumb-latch/catch goes into was not right, it was oval shaped and not locking into position which allowed the upper receiver to raise slightly which in turn allowed the bolt to ride above the trigger group resulting in an automatic slam-fire situation. I Dremel-tooled the hole a bit and fixed it. All in all a very cool and fun gun !

The PPS43C that I received looked like all new surplus parts mixed with new US compliant parts and a fixed stock to make the gun a "pistol" legal in the US. I bought it just to shoot a bunch of cheap 7.62X25 ammo I have. It is in the category of a fun gun with no other real purpose.

I have had this for about a year now. Very few FTFs or FTE. And I have put a 1000 rounds through this thing. Sights were way off when it arrived but that's not Bud's fault. After adjusting I'm dead on at 75 yards. Due to the weight and caliber this is something you can shoot all day- very little recoil... THe biggest thing is the "cool" factor- Not many people have ever seen one.

This was my very first purchase from Buds along with another purchase I made at the same time. I'm glad I ordered from Buds. The shipping was very fast and the packaging was very tight and secure. The description was what I got and I am very pleased. I ordered the PPS-43c through the layaway and caught it just in time before they were out of stock. I love my PPS-43c and have no complaints. The gun looks perfect and comes with 4 mags. Buds have good pricing on these and I'm glad I got one. Buds will be my first choice in online gun ordering. Good job Buds. I give you an A+. Keep up the good work !!!

One heavy piece of history! The only thing I would change would being able to utilize the folding stock.......stupid SBR rules!!!

BIG THANK YOU to Buds, the shipment fast, just picked it up today, inspected it, and flawless so far. I'll shoot it soon once I have ammo. A great piece of history.

I received this weapon within 4 days after my payment cleared. I had so much fun shooting this. I put 200 rounds of PPU ammo through it without a single issue. The sights were difficult to use at first but after the first mag i had little issue. I put 60/70 rounds in a 7" group at 50 yards. Definitely going to make this an SBR and enjoy plinking at a 100 yards. I am not sure if i was suppose to get the sling, mag pouch, and cleaning tool as i have read but mine did not come with those items. All four magazines feed great and the weapon is amazing to shoot. Buds layaway plan my weapon purchase possible. Thank you Buds. You have a repeat customer.

This is one heavy piece of stamped-out steel fun. Not one hiccup in about 300 rounds. Perfect candidate for SBR with parts kit available from several places on the internet. Too bad the surplus ammo has dried up.

WOW!!!!!! This gun is probably the most awesome piece of weaponry I have owned. Needed a little cleanup to remove excess oil but, fully understandable. Purchased 1000 rounds of ammo since the 4 magazines...yes 4...great extra...hold 35 rounds each. This gun operated amazingly well. No jams no ftf. I went through all 1000 rounds without a hicup. This gun was the center of attention at the range. The price was well worth it...even if it cost twice as much...it would be worth it. Fun to shoot...accurate...flawless operation. Everything you want when you plop down a lot of cash for a gun. Just let me say....this gun delivers!!! As for Buds...2nd gun from them and they still beat the competition with price and service. Will and have bought a couple of more firearms from this awesome company. Enjoy this gun if you buy it.....I swear you will not be disappointed.

What else is there to say? This firearm was and still is a real steal. For $348 total you have the firearm, 4 magazines, the cleaning kit, and an oil container and that's including the shipping and insurance. The gun itself is made from (if I remember correctly) a new receiver, new barrel, and new FCG. Everything else on this thing is made from original parts. So you're getting a neat little piece of history as well as a fun range toy for a good price. There are even after market parts available for this thing. Getting light strikes and misfires? Well stop using corrosive 50 year old ammo for one, but look into buying an American made FCG for this thing, which a couple people make. Want it in a more readily available and cheaper caliber? Don't shell out the extra $100 for the 9mm of this gun that only comes with two poorly modified and problem riddled 9mm magazines. Just buy a 9mm barrel for it which can be found at Samachine.com 9mm rounds work in the standard 7.62x25 magazines just fine. Anyway, on to what my personal firearm is like, that I ordered just recently. Out of the box it was pretty nice, very greasy though as expected, it was no trouble to clean up. Everything seems to be in order but the gun does have a few extremely minor problem areas as do some of it's accessories. The safety lever and the button to hinge open the receiver are both fairly difficult to move. Once you get them the first time they work fine for a few moments, but leave them alone and they'll kind of lock up again. I'm chalking this up to grease in areas I can't reach to clean causing the parts to stick. There are very very small spots of rust in certain hard to reach areas but that is passable. You won't know they're there unless you're looking for them in every nook and cranny. (under small parts, beneath hinges, etc.) Places the gun grease can't really reach all that well. Of the four magazines I received two are in wonderful condition and the other two are slightly corroded and blemished. These particular two have some difficulty being put into and removed from the mag well , taking a bit of force to get them in all the way and a lot of wobbling and rattling to get them to slide back out where as the other two go in and out smoothly and quickly. Considering these are surplus magazines it doesn't much surprise me. These magazines will feed and shoot just fine as far as I know, but they're a pain to use and impeded the overall efficient functionality of this firearm. The oil bottle that comes with the gun is more of a novelty. I don't ever see myself using it for hold the oil or lubricant for this firearm. In one way I'm glad for this because the oil bottle that shipped with mine won't even open. The cap is corroded and rusted shut. Overall I'd say this is a great item that you should pick up while you can. It's a fun and cheap little range toy or even a home defense carbine if you set it up in 9mm. It may come out of the box with some faint wear and tear, but if you ask me that just adds to the character of this firearm. The moment you pick it up, you can feel the history in it. It's worn, but it works, and well at that. On a final note, it's worth mentioning that as far as I know Inter Ordnance is no longer importing these from Radom. Atlantic Firearms is already sold out. If you want one of these, DO NOT WAIT. There are very few of them left and they won't last forever.

I always wanted one of these so when the price went down to $345.00, I jumped on it. I fired 200 rounds and it performed flawlessly. It comes equipped with four 35 round clips (with one that was test fired and the other 3 as spares). It was a nice surprise when I verified that all 4 of the mags functioned well. The PPS43c is a great shooter and an excellent replica of the original used during WWII by the Russians. It is a true beauty for those of us that appreciate WWII era type weapons. I do not think you could damage this if you tried as it is one resilient hunk of steel that was made to be simple and last the rigors of combat and yet still be functional. The accuracy is very good considering it uses a 7.62x25 Tokarev pistol round. I was able to shoot a 3 inch pattern at 50 yards with the use of a gun. This weapon is made to be more of a hip shooter and that’s when it displays it true colors with regard to performance and accuracy. Of course Buds was great to deal with as always with their layaway plan. As soon as they received the last payment, it was delivered to my FFL in 3 days’ time. The only disappointing item was that the cleaning rod /sight adjustment tool that came with it was damaged. The tip that is used to adjust the front sight is cracked but I am hopeful that I can use my ak47 adjustment tool so I am not too concerned about it. I highly recommend this to anyone who enjoys WWII replicas of high quality. Keep in mind that this is not used but a true brand new replica of the original with just a few minor differences such as an addition of a safety mechanism (the original had no safety) and making the foldable stock inoperable.

Cool gun, but please look it over. Mine was thrown in a cardboard box and received severe rub marks on both sides of the receiver. Folded cardboard inserts is not sufficient to protect a large, metal object. I accepted it, and cleaned it up. Great balance on this product, fantastic design. Easy to open and care for. Get one while you can.....should increase in price over time. Bud's provides superior service, period!

Just picked up my PPS 43c, It shipped fast I was impressed and will be buying more guns from this site. The gun came a little greasy but its just factory oil, should work out nice at the range so I'm only doing some minor cleaning. It arrived with an oil can, cleaning rod, and four mags. There are sling mounts and I'll probably just use a NC star ak strap which i think would compliment this gun very well. Ordering some rounds online this week and will follow up with another review after I hit the range and put some serious numbers through this thing.

It makes me chuckle that this considered a handgun for federal purposes. God bless America! Anyway, this is a fun gun to shoot and looks cool. The first two people to see it called it a "crazy gun" and "bad" (in a good way). I found it very easy to handle and accurate out the box (well accurate out the box and after cleaning considerable oil off it). Fortunately, I already had plenty of Tokarev rounds due to owning a CZ-52. If you are considering purchasing this "handgun", you should first see if you can find the ammo and at a reasonable price. It can be challenging even in non-panic times. A few caveats for the perfectionistic... It did have some minor rust spots, an easily resolvable cosmetic issue only. The biggest thing was the safety was VERY tight and took considerable work and some time to move to fire position. In the end, finger pressure did it, but I considered at one point taking a hammer to it (not really, well for moment really, but not really). Also, by design and for legal compliance, the stock is permanently folded up. It's present but useless. It came with four magazines, all in excellent condition. This is a fun gun to own, and I recommend it.

I purchased this gun and received it in about a week or so. I would advise wearing rubber gloves when taking this thing out of the box. an entire can of oil is dumped on this thing before it is sent out. I spent a while cleaning it up, but after i did, this thing looked great. Everything works smoothly and the extra magazines are a plus. Another cool thing is that this gun is considered a pistol and can easily fit in a backpack. The flip up sights are accurate from shorter yardage than advertised. Included on the gun are a front and rear clip for a 2 point sling. I will advise: ammo is pricy and scarce! Overall, this is a great gun for the price. The extra magazines and rugged durability won me over.

As usual Buds is great, but this is about my I. O. Inc. PPS 43-C pistol. It had rust all around the pistol grip. When called I. O. Inc. about a repair, they said rust was common because they have set in warehouses for some time. They were not helpful at all. I called Bud's and they called me back the next day saying I. O. Inc. would take it in for repair. I sent it in for repair over two months ago. I just got an e-mail from their customer service dept. today and they said they were busy because of the gun ban. I wrote back and told them there is no ban, just talk of one. I understand they are busy but they have not communicated with me at all. I have written the President of I. O. Inc. but have not gotten any reply. I will call Bud's tomorrow and see if any thing can be done from their end. Now I just want my pistol back, forget the repair.

I bought this gun as a christmas gift to myself. I have to say I was very pleased with it & Buds. This was my first purchase from Buds & it went very smooth. After cleaning & inspecting the gun I put a few rounds through it....oh yeah!!! I had issues with the test magazine causing the gun to jam so I tossed it, but it came with 3 more & they worked great. Now I'm trying to decide on my next gun.....so many choices what is a fella to do lol
