Outstanding rifle for a great price. Also it’s CNN good to be able to use AR mags in this rifle! And it is always easy to shop at BUDS!!!

Ordered this rifle for coyotes and other varmints. Looks great, shoots great and love the idea of it taking AR 15 mags. Great product. Thanks BUDS

Gun shoots well but action is a lil loose and could be smother. But makes for a good coyote gun.

Not bad. I had to persuade the included magazine to feed properly the first 20 rounds or so. She functions fine now and shots well.

Rifle gets 5 stars because it is just neat. The bolt feels a little sloppy and clunky, the fit and finish are decent, the trigger is great, and it accepts AR magazines. A lot to like. It is on the heavy side in the configuration I purchased, but it is plenty accurate to hunt varmits with from a rest. Zero issues with the rifle after a lot of rounds through it other than some of the cheap 20 round composite magazines do not fit into it well and will drop free. 30 round P-Mags fit great but really are not practical for shooting from a rest unless you have a very tall bipod. The 20 round P-mags fit and function well and allow for use with a bipod much more easily. With hand loads I have shot sub-moa groups with the rifle. "25.2 grains of accurate 2230 powder and a Hornady 52 grain A-max bullet for anyone interested" With surplus 55 grain ammo groups of 2-3 inches are the norm at 100 yards. If you use store bought ammo, it seems to like the heavier 69 grain bullets and groups very tight with them.

I am pretty disappointed with this rifle. First, the bolt is very sloppy and not very smooth. Second, this rifle does not feed rounds very well from the factory mag. The round gets hung up and eliminates any quick follow up shots. And lastly after 50 shots I found a large crack in the pistol grip portion of the stock. The quality of this rifle is terrible. The only positive thing I can say about this rifle is that it is pretty accurate. I have a call in to Mossberg to see what they are going to do about this. I guess we will see if the customer service is any better than the product they are putting out.

It's a great economy bolt rifle for varmint hunting. takes ar magazines. needs some polishing and a little enhancement but for the price and out of the box performance it's GREAT.

A+ for Bud's. Transaction was great start to finish. To the gun. This Mossberg MVP is a great looking gun, very good finish. Bolt was a little sticky in the beginning but after 100 rounds is butter smooth. Very accurate. Highly recommended.

Bud's was great as usual. Had to wait for stock but was notified as soon as they arrived. Bought this gun more for the look then because I needed it but I am glad I did. The look is awesome and the gun is very accurate. The bolt seemed loose and still is but gun cycles fine and shots well. Love the way the grip feels and functions. As far as the AR mags working, they will work but they need to be slammed in to the receiver. Other then that they work fine, maybe it will loosen up in time. The gun got plenty of looks at the range.

Great rifle if you use lower capacity magazines (10rd works great, 20rd if you load 18 or less. your results may vary) Penny sized 5rd groups at 100yds with 40gr V-max Hornady loads. Mine didn't do very well with rounds heavier than 60gr, but I only tried two loads above 60gr: 75gr Hornady Steel Match and Federal Fusion 62gr. Around 50-55gr you're still within MOA accuracy. Trigger adjustment is easy, trigger feel is nice, laminated stock has a really good feel to it, palm swell is a nice touch. Overall I've really enjoyed the rifle so far. Stick to lower capacity magazines or magazines with lighter springs in them and this would be a great shooter for anyone.

I BOUGHT THIS RIFLE FEW WEEKS BACK AND I MUST SAY I REALLY LIKE THE LOOKS OF IT. FIT AND FINISH IS VERY GOOD. PUT A MILLET 4X16X50 ILLUMINATED TACTICAL SCOPE ON IT AND WENT TO THE RANGE. INDOOR RANGE COULD ONLY SHOOT 100 YDS BUT IT IS A TACK DRIVER AND WILL ONLY GET BETTER AS IT GETS BROKE IN. AS ALWAYS DEALINGS WITH BUDS HAS BEEN A PLEASURE.

Buds:As always, praise for great price, communication and well packaged for shipping. Takes about 2 weeks from the time I place order until it's at my FFL for pickup (ACH withdrawl method to get "cash discount") could be faster but I'm sure Buds has a reason for "holding" money for a few days. Gun: No cracked stock or canted barrel as others have had. STOCK looks great and is very comfortable and functional ("wide" bag needed for front rest), LOP very comfortable for me. Cheekrest could be a bit higher for my scope setup. TRIGGER is nice and crisp breaking at just over 2# according to my RCBS scale. BOLT is loose when fully retracted, a lot of wiggle so to speak, but this doesn't impair functioning. Initially very tight bolt lockup but it is becoming rather smooth and polished after a few hundred rounds. MAG/FEEDING works flawlessly with all mags I've tried, 30&20rd P-Mags, 10, 20 & 30rd C-prod, and (most surprisingly!) the best functioning mag was the crappy/cheap ($3) Thermolds that I categorized as junk. Mag release is small and tight but smoothing out nicely. SHOOTABILITY, awaiting some good Redding dies so I haven't worked-up any handloads yet however, Mil-Surp 55gr and 62 grain are grouping 1.5"-2.5" at 100yd. And I'm too cheap to buy quality factory ammo when I can 'roll my own' in a few days. Overall it is a great value for the purchase price and that it feeds well from AR mags is a Win-Win!

I have bought alot of guns from buds, but i have to say this rifle is awesome. Right out of the box i put my scope on it and zeroed it. I am shooting 3/4 inch groups at 100 yards!!! It does not even compare to my rem 700. What a GREAT BUY...Thanks Bud.

Well, I'm all-in-all happy with the rifle. It will shoot dime sized groups at 100 yards with factory Hornady VMAX 55gr bullets. The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is that when I got it there was a crack that I didn't catch on the laminate stock toward the muzzle end of the gun. Its not a tiny crack, but a pretty large crack, and if you go to www.mossbergmvp.com you'll find others have had the same problem. If I caught it, I would have sent it back for a new one but apparently its too late now. I may have to contact mossberg and see what they can do for me. I know its my responsibility to check the gun before taking ownership but it was just something I didn't catch while I was all caught up in the excitement of getting a new gun. A real shame to see a blemish like that when its brand new, but thats the way it goes sometime.

This is my second purchase from Bud's and first review. The MVP is an incredible value and a joy to shoot. As others have written, give the action a chance to break in and smooth out the sharp edges. But, as soon as the scope was dialed in, it's potential became evident as a solid, highly accurate , very fun rifle. I'm easily keeping 5 shots below.75" at 100 yds....something I've never consistantly done before. There's a reason Bud's can't keep these stocked: the MVP is one of the best new rifles available today. Plus every dealing I've had had with Bud's, be it questions or purchases, they have proven to be the absolute best on the net.

Received my gun quickly and very satisfied. Shooting this gun is too fun. Bolt was a bit rough at first, but before even taking it shooting, open and closed it quite a few times and it got smoother. After putting 80-100 rounds through it so far, the bolt is very smooth now and dont have a single complaint with this rifle. Like anything else new, just gotta break it in. I have had solid groups from many different 55g bullets. Have had really tight groups with 62gr as well. Likes the higher grains better. Gonna try even higher with some 69 and 75gr match ammo.

I normally don't do reviews but I have to make a exception. This is an outstanding purchase, as usual Buds knocks it out of the park 55 grain at 100 yards are inside a half inch circle mostly touching. With a 12 power scope, I cant believe it.
