Perfect deer rifle for south Texas, as we typically have shots around 200plus yards. I absolutely love the accu_trigger. The real walnut stock is fantastic and flawless a beautiful piece of furniture on a gun that I now personally have three of, my grandpas, my dads and mine. All of which are exactly the same some with more wear that others but I had to buy my own and retire theirs and I am not dissappointed at all with this rifle. Thanks Savage and thanks again Buds.

This is another great rifle from Savage. Right out of the box I had no difficulty putting a good grouping of shots together at 100 yards. In less than 10 shots the scope was sighted in to my satisfaction. The accu trigger has taken the last second jerking out of my trigger pull and allows me to know precisely when the gun will fire. When I shoot a rifle with out accu trigger I immediately think I have to replace it with a Savage (which has already happen in two calibers). Dealing with Buds is always a pleasure. They keep you posted via email every step of the way and more importantly have great prices.

I have had this rifle for over 10 years now and I still cannot make any excuse to buy another deer rifle. It is consistently accurate after many boxes of ammo and even performs great with numerous rounds in a short period of time. Bought mine for $250 new but IMO its worth more than the current cost of over $500! Has outperformed other rifles I've tried of the years from the more expensive manufacturers!

This is a great rifle. I was able to shoot bowlin pins at 100 yards with it right out of the box. Without even sighting it in!! Nice scope, rough leather sling, smooth bolt action. This rifle has it all. I plan to use it to get back into deer hunting this November. Busd's can't be beat for prices and quality firearms.
