This was my third ever handgun purchase, and my second from Bud's. Transaction was smooth, shipping was fairly fast, and the product was as advertised. The gun performed fine shooting .38's, but the cylinder locked up the first time I fired a .357 through it. It loosened up a little over time, but I eventually sold it and bought a Smith, then a Ruger later. My opinion, pay the extra for a Smith or a Ruger. Less hassle in the end.

I had no problems with this Rossi .357 and it preformed very well at the range. I would recommend it to anyone who can’t afford s Ruger or Smith and Wesson, but still wants a reliable.357/38.

My transaction with Bud`s Guns was a very pleasant experience. I purchased this firearm, about (3) yrs. ago. The price was less than what my local dealer could do, even with the $40 transfer fee. Revolver arrived in a timely fashion, and was in pristine condition. Overall, I have been happy with this revolver. It is accurate, well balanced, and nice blue finish. Rossi is an easy company to deal with for parts and service. The revolver fit the bill exactly for what I needed. I live on a fixed income, so cannot afford more expensive firearms from the elite companies. Dollar for dollar it stacks up very well against the big name revolvers. One detraction, the after market accessory sellers treat the Rossi as a ( redheaded stepchild ) as such it is difficult to find things like grips, holsters, sights, etc. If you want a dependable, inexpensive revolver that will shoot well, I would recommend this firearm.

I read mixed reviews. Was stinking surprised at the quality and accuracy of this sweet revolver!! All the kids were having no trouble firing and hitting all the targets, they loved it and I loved it, becoming a EDC!! Love .357, always have and this is a very affordable and excellent choice, no doubt y'all will find a S&W that you can't pass up, but I won't be trading this off or getting rid of it.

I absolutely LOVE it.....btw....Buds was fast! I received the email with tracking number AFTER the weapon was already delivered to my FFL. Now that's fast.

Received my Rossi 971 today. From the box to the shooting range. Fired .38 special and .357 rounds and it performed great. Smooth trigger, great feel and accurate. Didn't notice anything too tight that a new gun should or shouldn't have. Very pleased with my purchase. Excellent quality, right price. and a big double thumbs up to Bud's.

Received my NIB ROSSI 971 357 mag in a timely manner. Nice clean look, solid lockup, cylinder timing seems accurate. cylinder gap seems a little tight, but I would rather have too little than too much.I can't give full review as I have yet to fire it. Great price and prompt shipping from Buds, and a quality firearm from Rossi. Fit and finish, good double action trigger pull, and a nice, crisp single action. I will probably look to find some nice wooden grips. Two thumbs up - one for Buds, and one for this pistol.

I just received my 357 from Buds and I can say its what I order and like it very much. I like doing business with Buds Gun Shop so much I older a shotgun from him as well.. First off I am not a computer whiz and can't communicate with phone due to severe hearing loss. Thank you to Bud's employee Jackie for walking me thru a couple areas I needed help in. Particulrily with the 3/1 gaurantee helping me get re-imbersed $18.00. From day ordering to delivery was 13 days. We all realize the backlog problems but I'm sure some one would love a job in shipping, even if only tempory. I noted my credit card was charged the day of ordering so no shortage of help there. The gun, a Rossi model 97104, arrived in beautiful condition. I took it to the range and was impressed even more. It shot on the money out of the box with groups so small I could hardly believe them. I own quite a few guns, S&W, Browning, Ruger, etc. This gun is going to rapidly become a favorite.

1 star for price. Bought for my son for Christmas. Very disappointing. It's hard to mess up a revolver but Rossi did it. The cylinders are warped--actually egg shaped. Didn't notice till firing. Split the brass--used 357 and 2 different 38 brands of ammo all with same results. Brass splits and wedges in the cylinder making it difficult to remove. Multiple cylinders, not just a single one. Don't know how it got past any quality control nor how they couldn't drill a straight hole. I know it's a cheap pistol but I actually expected it to work properly out of the box. Am now trying to deal with Rossi customer service. Just need the time to wait to get through to an operator. Meanwhile Bud's is great! Never had a problem with them and will continue to order from them. Will update when resolved with Rossi. Will never buy another Rossi product.

This revolver is freakin sweet!! Was concerned at first because the trigger, hammer, and cylinder were extremely tight. So tight that you had to use both hands to function anything. After dry firing and working the rotation it freed up. Started with some american eagle 38 and went to pmc 357. I have to say that this gun works so smoothly now that some rounds have been put through it. What a stud for a gun!!! This gun was making softball size patterns at 15 yards!!! A must have for a budget .357 Magnum!!!

I got the 971 home only to find severe rust inside the barrel( I thought it was residue from factory test firing). I made an effort to clean it but it was really rusted. Bud's was helpful They supplied a shipping label to send it back to Braztech. I drove the 45 miles to the UPS depot and sent it on it's way. That was over seven weeks ago. The last time I spoke with them they were waiting for a new barrel. Braztech customer service is helpful but that doesn't get it fixed any sooner. The lesson here is ; Check the firearm completely inside and out before you transfer it, just because it's new does not mean it is perfect. The finish on the firearm was very good but not perfect. The action seemed to work well also. I can't tell you how it shoots.....Maybe someday. I can't give it a good rating due to the defect and the bad feeling you get when your new gun goes away on vacation with an unknown return date.

The Rossi 971 can take 10-A Speed-Loaders from HKS so just type in HKS 10-A and you will see what I mean. They fit pretty well and drop in nicely. It would have been even more nice if Rossi would put that somewhere in their information as the 971 fram is 'in between' a K and L frame so you have to be careful with speed loaders and holsters. Okay, went to the range after having decided I had not done any real damage to it and left impressed. I was making three inch shot groupings near center mass at 30 feet. Also, recoil was minimally felt with the rubberized grips. So I am impressed with the handgun. What I am NOT impressed with is Ross/Taurus customer service. Spent a total of an hour trying three times to get a human being and all I got was the same repetitive music. What joke. What I AM impressed with is that Buds contacted me and said they would attempt to call Rossi themselves and then get back to me. As always, no complaints with Buds customer service...Rossi customer service is for crap, though. Decided that this is a good reliable and accurate gun. Will make it my home defense handgun along with shotgun.

Getting it from Buds was great and painless as usual but for the actual weapon....Completely disappointed. Found out the hard way that they cylinder doesn't swing out far enough to fit in a speed loader MEANT for this size frame. Damn thing gut stuck with rounds in the cylinder and I had to pry them out and damaged the back of the frame that meets the cylinder. Anyone else find this a problem? Well, you get what you pay for. I have learned my lesson and will be going back to Ruger or maybe S&W.

Heard some good things about this revolver and BUDS shipped it surprisingly fast, even though it was the holidayz. Hope the gun shoots well, and this being my second revolver (the precursor being a Taurus poly judge) from Taurus/Rossi i also pray the "quality" is the same this being notably less expensive, TBH though I was really hurtin for a .357 for the collection. More to follow from the first range report when I take it out....................

Buds was great as always, the gun shipped fast! The finish is a very nice deep blue, much nicer than one would expect for the price. However, it looked like it had been submerged in a bucket of oil prior to boxing it up! This gun is constructed very well—smooth trigger pull and excellent cylinder lockup, overall excellent workmanship, not a blemish on it and the grips fit like custom made ones! I would definitely recommend this revolver as it is a quality gun at a great price.

Very pleased with customer service from Bud's. My wife and I are very happy with this gun. Purchased it as a Mother's Day present for her. She loved it. Very accurate gun with .38 SPL loads (haven't yet used .357 Magnum.) Fit and finish of the gun is great for the price point. Great weight and feel and a nice bright front sight. We have 200 rounds through this gun without an issue. Would recommend for someone looking for a revolver.

Gun shipped fast, and when I took it out to inspect it I was very pleased. Very nice blued finish, sturdy rubber grips, bright sight on the front. It came packed in oil which is normal and shows they really take pride in making sure all guns ship to the end user in pristine condition. No blemishes no flaws! After cleaning the grease I took it out to the range and shot many rounds back to back and runs smooth as ever! Highly recommend for anyone looking for a revolver of great quality and a steal of a price.

This my favorite gun, I always wanted a 357 Mag, Good construction , Low price, I am using Hydra Shock Ammo on this one, The grip is very nice and my hand fits perfectly around it. The Blued finish looks good also, I would like this gun with a different finish for the intimidation factor, no big deal though. Bud's delivered on time, Great Transaction, Thanks.

Good little revolver, just go ahead and buy it already! no problems for me so far!

Little disappointed with the sight. In order to get this thing on the paper i have to adjust the sight all the way to the right, and even with that it takes a little Kentucky windage. If you have the money i would probably spend the little extra to get something a little nicer. Overall though, this thing does go BANG.
