Nice light weight gun, good size for a man to conceal carry. Shoots and handles good, I will surly advise others to purchase it if they are looking for a good price on a 40 S&W pistol.

Smith and Wesson did a great job on this firearm. Compact and light weight SD40ve is perfect for conceal and carry. Also, it’s extremely reliable. No kind of problems at all with this firearm after putting 30,000 plus rounds through it. Super easy to take apart and clean with watching YouTube videos on it. I liked it so much, I purchase the same firearm in 9mm.

Ok firearm to get familiar with a Glock before buying a Glock

I have this firearm for about 8 years and never had any issues with it. I will recommen this gun to anyone. You won't regret buying it.

Very good budget firearm and if if you're looking to get the most bang for your buck. Read a lot of negative reviews about the trigger, but I didn't have a problem with it. It's not very picky about what you feed it....gun food is gun food. It's lightweight, but a little bulky for personal carry. It sits in my nightstand for home defense.

The firearm jams. The very first round I attempted to fire jammed. Everyone after that followed the same fate.

Got this 10 years ago and finally reviewing. It’s a really good self defense pistol, trigger is good for self defense not the best for target shooting. Great size given the caliber and capacity. Reliable with most ammo I’ve tried, only had FTE when used by a buddy who limp wristed.

I purchased a S&W SD40 it’s light weight feels really comfortable in my hand real smooth action 14+1 I love it and the price was pretty good too

this weapon is a very well made 40 cal,its light way ,no problems with and fit or finish,i would recommend it ,Buds Gun shop took great care of me and the fast order was spot on

Looks and feels ok the trigger sucks but installed a apex trigger kit and seems better but the trigger still sucks compared to what im use too. But a good gun for a new owner or someone looking for a lower end firearm.

This is a nice Firearm, with a easy slide and a nice feel in the grip. It is almost exactly like my old Glock 22, its a good gun with a easier price to swallow as compared to a glock.

This gun looks and feels amazing, I haven’t shot it yet but I will tomorrow and I’ll do a follow up review.

SD40VE bought May 2020. I was concerned about the trigger because some people apparently don't like it. It's a longer and heavier pull than most but I like it and shot well with it. It's the only striker fired gun I have without a thumb safety that I would feel safe carrying with a round in the chamber, in a holster, because of the harder, longer trigger pull. And I don't like thumb safeties, you have to break your grip to take them off safe and it's something that could go wrong in a high stress situation. I'm real happy with the gun. I personally like it better than a Glock but maybe I'm biased. Good, hard primer strikes, good accuracy, shot 4 mag's of hollow point 180 gr with no malfunctions of any kind. Like the magazine release and slide stop. Sights were right on. Roughness of frame is the way I like it - not too rough or smooth. Take down and reassembly is very easy, just like a Glock. Fobus Evolution SWMP paddle holster fits it great & they're my favorite. Great gun, good deal.

Nice looking gun, great price unfortunately it did not fire when I took it to the range. After having it looked at the gunsmith said he found excess plastic build up around the trigger from the manufacturer. He took it apart and sanded some stuff down. Works flawless now. I’m sure I just got the bad one out the bunch but now it works. I guess the fix was easy enough he didn’t even charge me.
