I have been looking at this rifle for months planning to buy it but never did. Finally pulled the trigger and got the last one in stock. Received in perfect condition, packed extremely well by H&R. The barrel is heavy and shorter, good for in the wood toting or storing in a smaller space. Simple to maintain being a single shot and looks to be solid and well made. I chose to put a red dot / green dot on mine, may opt for a tradition scope at some point. If and when these get back in stock I would recommend buying one.

Got this gun and mounted a tasco 3x9x50 shooting core locks 150 gr, and was very disapointed when I missed a huge buck.. I really thought it was the gun but the tasco scope would not stay zeroed and was a POS...I messed around with it and bought a centerpont 2x7x32, and Winchester super x 150 gr... I just got back from sighting the gun in and it is very accurate... shot 10 shots from 50 to 120 yards... at 80 I hit bullseye both shots.....Great gun and budsgunshop has the best service....

Bud's sevice was excellent and recieved the weapon just fine. I mounted a 3X9 scope on the weapon and took it to the range. I was using my own reloads with a 150 gr remington bullet and pushing them at about 2700 fps. It took about 10 shots to get it in the paster at a 100 yds. I haf 2 case that would not eject, had to knock them out with a cleaning rod. I should have been more worried about this but the next 10 went just fine and it was on the money at 200 yds. Cleaned it and went elk hunting with it three weeks later. Had a nice cow at 210 yrds and shot over it, went to load another round and the case would not eject. Needless to say elk got away the guide was very upset. Found out gun was shooting 14 " high at a 100 yds, my fualt for not checking it upon arrivial. But from this point on almost every round failed to eject. Tried factory ammo, same thing. It is going back to factory asap, seeing as I have found out this is a very common problem with this weapon. Other than that I like the rifle and will use it again once the ejection problem is solved.

This is a good value for your money, I got mine and put a Bushnell 3x9 scope on it and loaded up some 150gr loads. A quick adjustment on the culminator to make sure it would be on the paper and off to the range. The first three shots at 25 yds were about one inch high and 1/2 to the right and you could cover them with a quarter. The trigger is a bit heavy for target shooting, but crisp and clean. This stock is real comfortable for me, recoil is light with this load. At 100 yrds the grps were about 1 1/4 inches with a few flyers do to my shooting not the rifle, I would recommend this to anyone looking for a general purpose rifle that should work fine for deer, pigs and up to elk.
