Taurus PT745 Millennium Pro 45acp Stainless (Compact)
by Eric L
Date Added: Saturday 02 February, 2013
Bought this gun as a concealed carry as I wanted a little more "punch" than the standard .380's and 9mm's. Right out of the box it felt really good in my hand. Ergonomics are really good and I was surprised at how small it actually was. Took it to the range and ran about 300 rounds of Tul-Ammo through it just to break it in. Had several FTF and FTE's but since then I have taken it out with better ammo and it has smoothed out much better.
There was a problem with the magazine falling out of the gun. (Scary!) I could grab the bottom of the magazine and pull it out of the gun without pressing the release button. Not good! Rather than send it back to Taurus I just bent the notch in the magazine where it connects to the release just SLIGHTLY and the problem was resolved.
All in all I really like this gun. The Tul-Ammo is horrible but all the other ammo I have shot works well. I have put about 500 rounds through the gun and it keeps getting better. I am not a huge fan of the "Straight 8" sights but I'm getting used to them.
For the price and power this gun is hard to beat. Buds also did an excellent job with shipping and updates.
