Taurus 44 Tracker .44mag 4" Stainless
[2440049TKR]
$526.00
by Matthew R Date Added: Thursday 11 November, 2010
I had a lock-up issue with mine as well, but I avoided and dangerous situations by first checking the firearm with training dummies before firing live ammo in it. Old habit, and I do it with every firearm I purchase, no matter the manufacturer or condition. Contacted Taurus, shipped it off and had in back within a couple of weeks. It's worked fine and dandy since. I practice in the backyard with rubber bullets fired by primer only and do a couple of hundred rounds a week...the issue has never reappeared, and it's worked like a champ. Mine's doing two inch groups at 25 yards and when I really drill myself down I can do 4 1/2 at 50 yards. Weighs less than my 1911, and coupled with my SimplyRugged holster and inside-out straps, I carry the Tracker more often. The only way I could be happier with this gun is if it had been perfect right out of the box...but that's the price you pay when you buy a mass produced firearm built in Brazil...had it happened with a $1400 Smith, that would be a different matter...
