Federal 22 Long Rifle 36 Grain Copper Plated Hollow Point
by Bruce L Date Added: Tuesday 31 March, 2009
The Federal blue box bulk pack is good stuff. My Kel-Tec SU-22C rifle likes it, and it won't feed the loose roll crimped ammo like Remington Golden Bullet ammo. This Federal feeds well in most .22 but not in the Beretta NEOS pistol. About 2% of the Federal maroon box and blue box ammo I've been getting lately has no primer material, anywhere around the rim. I had very positive firing pin indentations. The SU-22 uses the same hammer spring as the .223 rifle built in the same receiver and it makes a large deep indentation. I tried it in five places around the rim and it never fired. The accuracy of this ammo is good. The SU-22 is a fairly accurate semi-auto.22, and I was shooting 1/2" groups (2 MOA) at 25 yards from a prone position.
