Ruger 10107 22/45 Target 10+1 22LR 5.5"
by steve s Date Added: Friday 27 January, 2012
Having owned several .22s, this one is the best built by far. It will last a long long time. Steel parts in the upper receiver instead of aluiminum like in some. Poly lower is comfortable, good grip angle, and durable.
However, the design is not perfect. I wish it didn't have the mag disconnect on the trigger. It is a pain when disassembling to have to take the mag in and out to drop the hammer. These are the most difficult guns I can think of to take apart. Even being mechanically inclined, I bet you can't do it without watching youtube videos and pausing often. At first, they are so stiff that you will think you are doing it wrong. You have to understand and think about how the parts go together, which I think is fun, but others may not agree. Being a .22LR, it will get dirty and need cleaning often.
Sometimes the mag doesn't seat just right, probably my fault, which causes a feed jam. Almost always just needs a slap on the bottom to fix.
