S&W Sigma SW9VE 9mm Black/Stainless
[220025]
$313.00
by Bradley G Date Added: Thursday 22 December, 2011
Ordered a little while back and since then have taken it to the range on 5 different occassions. Overall, I am fairly satisfied and have yet to have any shooting failures. Shot federal and winchester through the gun and they both fire throughout without problems.

Positives: The two magazines that the pistol comes with are of high quality and easily hold the 16 bullets. The action is sleek and the break-down is REALLy easy making it very easy to clean. The grip is good and fits the hand nicely. The sights are descent and easy to find when quick-drawing. For the price this is a great gun, especially if your just looking for a night stand gun or your frist time pistol. Magazine release is good, but slightly stiff probably just needs breaking in. Recoil is near nothing in my opinion. Would also make a great conceal carry weapon. Comes with a rope lock and key.

Negatives: The lower is cheap, but most are these days. The long trigger pull is pretty much your safety mechanism, which this gun has none with the exception of the one between your ears. Most will probably complain about the long pull, but you DO get used to it and it isn't a problem and in fact some shooters prefer it because your are able to squeeze before the actual pull. Comes in a cheap cardboard box, I can't understand why they really can't atleast put it in a plastic case. Finally, the slide action spring is my biggest negative, it doesn't seem very sturdy, but we will see what happens.

Conclusion...Good gun for the price and overall capabilities and functioning. Would probably recommend and Taurus 24/7 for near the same price or even better just go ahead and get the MP S&W. The SW9VE is pretty much as good as a Glock without the big price tag, but this is also being written by a Springfield fan and Im not too big on Glocks. Take it how you will!
