S&W Sigma SW40VE .40SW Black/Stainless
[220023]
$301.00
by Tim B Date Added: Sunday 30 January, 2011
I ordered this on a Friday and received it on Tuesday, but that was only because the FFL was closed on Monday's. The FFL was on Bud's preferred list and the transaction was smooth and fast - I was in and out of his shop in under 30 min's (and that included me looking around and making a few other purchases). After the initial cleaning, I took it to the range and fired 200 rounds through it flawlessly. No FTF/FTE, etc., The trigger pull is heavy, but since there is no safety on the weapon, I get it. I haven't fired any sort of firearm in over 10 years and of the first 200 rounds, I had between 85 and 90 percent of those in the kill zone on the targets. I've owned revolvers in the past and the trigger pull on this pistol reminds me of a .357 or .44 mag double-action. That's not a bad thing, it just means the user has to become more proficient with their weapon. I've read the reviews that say this pistol will "lighten" up it's pull after X number of rounds, but I believe it's the user that becomes more familiar with their firearm. This is a very accurate pistol, but it's up to the user to fire it correctly. I couldn't be happier with my new Sigma and I can't wait to get back out to the range.

Thanks for everything Bud's - you guys rock and I can't wait to do business with you again!
