If you like the Walther P22, you will love the P99. I tried botth the QA and AS triggers, in my opinion the AS trigger is superior to and faster than the QA. Also really liked the "subdued" decocker as well as the mag release.
Ergos are excellent, fit and finish typically German. Sights are robust, simple and seem very good. I've put a bunch of rounds through it and accuracy is a little better than average, though not quite 1911 level.
The one thing that is a little disappointing is that with full house loads, my trigger finger impinges on the right mag release lever under recoil. Shooting get a little painful after 4 mags without gloves. Even with the excellent ergos and natural point, I've found it necissary to death grip the gun to keep muzzle flip under control. But then again, it's a lightweight polymer pistol shooting 40 S&W. As of yet, I've not found a poly 40 that I'm head over heals for.
The size is nice in that it falls between a service gun and a compact. Make a nice carry gun with out all the compact/subcompact compromises.
Over all a very good gun for it's intended purpose.
