Received my Taurus PT92 from my ffl last week. I was in a hurry ....checked the model number, it was what Buds advertised. Quick check of the gun and everything looked o.k. The next day I took it out of the box and realized something wasn't right. It was missing the accessory rail. Crap....how did I miss that. I went back on Buds and sure enough the picture and description had a rail on it. After calling Buds and Taurus I was told all the new guns don't have the rail on them. The rep at Taurus said all the 2015 models don't have the rail. What's funny is that their own website had 92s with rails on them....? The rep at Buds was nice and said they would change the description.... After cleaning and polishing all the scratches off the frame, I'm o.k. with the gun.I thought it was a used gun at first. The rep at Taurus said it was made in June of this year, still once in the sunlight it was pretty scratched up and filthy inside the slide and barrel. Once again the rep said Taurus test fires their guns more than other companies...someone sure did. I haven't shot it yet so.....who knows it could be a track driver. This is a gun review so quality of finish.....poor. Trigger does feel good during dry firing with a good reset. Slide racks very smoothly. Advise for Taurus... If Taurus is going to test fire to that extent prior to shipping...clean the gun first. If it's new it should at least look new. 3 other Taurus guns and didn't have this issue.
