Operates fantastically, for the price it was compared to a Mossberg 5500 I used to own, and other then being gas operated compared to mechanical blow back, it worked very good. Just had a little trouble to begin with on bolt action closure using the small push button on the side of the receiver. After four boxes of shells run through it, everything smooth right out. Dam nice shot gun for the price. And of course Bud's quick delivery was exceptional.

The H&R semi auto is very light, fast to the shoulder and solidly built. It's total black out gives the gun a very cool appearance, it's four chokes handle my hunting and shooting needs quite well. Very easy to change gun from light target load shooting to heavy/magnum hunting loads. As always Buds shipped my order quickly and safely.

I was very hesitant to buy a low cost semi shotgun, but I'm thrilled I did. I bought it just before dove season and used it all through dove and quail seasons. I easily put an entire case of shells through it without one jamb, misfeed, stovepipe, or any other failure. The action took a little getting used too, but once I got it down, I love it. At one point, I swapped guns with a buddy for his Benelli semi, and this gun performed every bit as well and seemed a bit lighter to me. If you're considering a new semi, save your money and go with the H&R. Bang for the buck, I could not have made a better purchase. I'd go so far to say that this has been one of the most satisfying gun buys I've made. As always, Bud's handled the transaction perfectly and shipped quick. Stop thinking about it, and just buy it.

This is my first semi automatic shotgun , and I'm very happy with it. I haven't had any problems with it jamming or anything else going wrong with it. I own a pump action shot gun , but I really am liking the semi auto. Very nice gun for its price range.

Great beater gun! I was looking for a cheap semi that is good for waterfowl and I found not. It shoulders quick and has a low kick. There is an learning curve to shooting, reloading, and cleaning this gun but it's worth the money.

Excellent Value, Awesome Shotgun! Just got mine today and ran 100 shells through it....It worked everytime, even with a mix of different brands. It's as if Benellii, Remington, and Franchi decided to make a mix of what works for them and melted it into this very reasonably price autoloader. I was skeptical, but read reviews and let me tell you....You'll Love This Shotgun! Pick one up, before they sell them alll. Feels great in hand and on shoulder. Easy to put together and adjust if you need to. Shoots dead on,very easy to shoot and get used to, well at least for me...It's my new favorite gun, I just have to giver her a name now. Cannot beat the price! If I had any complaint, it would be the little button to make the bolt shut. It's a little stiff at first, but it was easier after I put some use to it. This is an awesome shotgun. There's no beating it at that price

Plain, No frills, not the prettiest looking but one hell of a shooter. This thing is a beater. I think that for the price you cannot do better. I put buck shot and slugs thru it and it performed. I have confidence that this thing will break my shoulder before it breaks.

I cant believe how well this gun performs for the money,already bagged 7 pheasants with it,fit and finish excellent,i shoot this better than my 750.00 beretta 3901, easy to take apart,very well made.

Utiliarian. Inexpensive. It fits me well and those who have looked it over seem impressed with it. A newcomer to trap, my first trip got 13 of 25 birds, with several breaking into dust. No problems with the action. It seems nice and tight. It's not a high-end gun, but it is not meant to be. It is a New England Firearms Excell, not an H&R, but it is backed by H&R and NEF is apparently a subsidiary to H&R. I got the synthetic stock because it will probably get knocked about and I wouldn't want nicks and dents in the wood, and it will probably get rained on, taken out in bad weather, and I don't want any more worries than I have to. For now, I am a happy camper.

Just got a SA1-128 and shot 100 clays with it. All in all I am pleased with it and will try it on ducks soon. It points nicely (on me) and fired reliably except for two failures to feed the second round. Probably not enough poop in the target loads. You have to reverse the gas piston to switch from high to low power loads and back but it is easy. The trigger assembly resembles a Beretta and the gas system a Remington 1187 - the recoil spring is around the magazine. The action works European style in that when you work the bolt handle to eject the round in the chamber it does not feed another. So far I like it.
