The mini 14 , stainless steel & wood stock is a good looker and well built semi-auto rifle at a good price from Bud's.

I have wanted one of these for decades and was finally in a position to get one. I had it in my wish list here but it was sold out soon after. I clicked the "notify me when back in stock" and within just a short time I got a back in stock notification. I put it on layaway and purchased it outright soon after. If you haven't used Buds Gun Shop layaway program, I have used it more than once, and attest to the fact it is a great option and that Buds follows through on everything just as promised.

I've been looking everywhere for a hunting rifle for my wife and decided on a Ruger Mini 14, but was unsuccessful on finding one. Should have gone to Bud's first. They had the stainless model with a beautiful wood stock that I have been searching for. It arrived within a week, just in time to break it in that weekend, and it is perfect! Right out of the box it was spot on, and now I am a hero. Buds Guns saved my marriage! 😆

I waited a very long time to own this rifle, and while I certainly wish that I had been shooting it long ago, it was definitely worth the wait! I confess that I bought the stainless steel version strictly for vanity and its good looks, but this rifle shoots far better than I expected, and for that matter better than many a review about it that I have read or seen. The action is smooth as silk, the recoil is little more than that of a .22LR, the accuracy exceeds my ability to challenge it, and the trigger is crisp, predictable, and darn near perfect. The one critical observation I would make is that the rifle deserves a much better rear sight than the one that comes with it. It is cheap sight with imprecise, crude adjustments that are awkward and bothersome to make. I scoped it with a mid-budget scope and was able to consistently achieve 1" to 2" groups at 100 yards. I am looking forward to trying it at longer (but not a lot longer!) distances soon. I have an M1A and an M1 Garand, so the action and manual of arms are comfortably familiar to me. I admit to being an old fashioned guy, and I have always favored wood and steel, but I have never seen or shot a "modern sporting rifle" of any caliber that comes close to pleasing as much as this one.

What can I say… Ruger continues to do what they do best! The Mini-14 is a rugged firearm with impeccable attention to detail, featuring a butter smooth trigger that performs phenomenally when firing and as their motto says simply- “Reliable firearms for reliable citizens!” I’ve already put 500 rounds through this rifle and I’ve yet to experience a ‘hiccup’ in the least. I’ve ran .223 (55gr) and 5.55 (55gr and 62gr) without missing a beat. I pull the trigger and the rifle does the rest! The greatest feature on this rifle (and any Ruger Mini-14 will show you) is the cartridge ejector… If you collect spent brass be prepared to look 10-15 yards away!

This was what I learhed to shoot with way back when. Decided it was time to get one for me. Shoots like a dream. Has that feel you can only get from a wooden stock. A+ in my boom.

I waited many years for this exact gun. It was well worth the wait and money. I've shot several thousand rounds through it with zero issues. Threw on a nice scope and it's very accurate. I can't say enough good things about it.

I picked up my Ruger Mini-14 this week from my local FFL. The gun was in perfect order. The Mini-14 is a solid, well built firearm. I took it to the range today and was not disappointed by the ease of operation. Fired a bunch of Winchester 556 FMJ target rounds, which all cycled just fine in the gun. The Buds price was about the best I could find anywhere and Buds seems to be one of the few dealers to be able to get the Mini-14s on a regular basis. I did wait a week for mine to come in stock but many other dealers still have NONE.

Sweet! I'm older and traditional. All my other rifles are bolt-action. This is my first semi-automatic rifle. I like the Mini-14 feel; it still seems like my bolt-action rifles with the traditional stock. It's accurate and has a tight pattern for multiple shots. Personally, I do not like the handgrip of an AR15. I'd recommend this gun to anyone.

this is a example of a product of ruger made in the usa that is a statement to the jokers who make guns outside the usa it is a piece of history a weapon that calls out to sportsman to the police to the weekend warrior flexing its pride calling anyone who will listen take me home i wont let you down a wonderful piece of history

Excellent rifle - a must-have for anyone who wants a .223 but doesn't want a 'black' gun. I live in Chicago, I would much rather have my Mini 14 held up in front of a jury than an AR-15. PS. I'm an NRA Life Member and member of my state assoc. ISRA.

I have owned and shot this rifle for 10 years. I put a 4x-10x scope on it. Good accuracy at 50 & 100 yds. I reload this ammo at 3400 fps. Very powerfull. I shot at free hanging 1/4"x4"x4" steel plates 3 times. This round went thru the steel like it was butter. Very clean hole. The size of this rifle makes it quick to handle in tight spaces. A great substitute for an AR-15.
