This is an outstanding firearm. Fit and finish are excellent, and as smooth a double-action trigger pull as anything I've tried, including far pricier Sigs. Do some web research, enter SP2022, and see how this model was tested and abused before being adopted by the French internal security services and police (dislike the French all you want, I agree, but their anti-terrorism forces are no joke), as well as the U.S. Material Command. Called SP2022 because it was contracted in FR in 2002 and is intended to last 20 years (2022, very clever) - look inside at how beefy the components are and it is clear that this is a hardcore service pistol by design. Rumored that the components are all made in Germany by Sauer (only the frame is marked "made in Germany"), with final assembly in New Hampshire - I would believe it based on the quality. If night sights are worth $60 (lowball figure) and the extra mag (not that common on Sigs) worth $40, then you get a premium and dead-accurate hi-cap 9mm with a hell of a good background story for under $400. I'd have been happy with the gun had it cost $600, especially given how well it shoots. Low price is because of the huge contract production volumes only - and beware: My local gun retailers (except 2nd Amendment Firearms who are dead honest) all bashed this model, with no actual reason, making fools of themselves, only because of its low profit margins. Lastly, for us with larger hands, the large-size HOGUE HANDALL fits perfectly, forget the overpriced Sig replacement grips. Wonder how much these'll go for after the return of the hi-cap ban? That's why I bought two. Oh, and Bud's was flawless as always, I believe that goes without saying by now.
