I really like this Glock 17L. I just received it yesterday from Bud’s, thanks to Bud’s for a two day delivery! If I was to replace the plastic guide with a stainless steel one what would the spring rate be? 18lbs?

I never fired a single round through this gun in stock form. I added a Taran Tactical base plate, TT sights and the Timney trigger before I ever shot it. My first trip to the range was horrific. Boom, Boom, Jam....every time. Terrible. I own A LOT of Glocks and knew this had to be a mag issue since I was using good ammo. I took it shooting again, today and threw 100 rounds down range with 4 different mags and had zero problems. It is a soft shooting gun and is stupidly accurate. If you read this review and the gun is in stock, buy it for cryin' out loud. The one I bought is the only one that I have ever come across for sale.

I had no luck with this glock! could not find ammo that would reliably cycle the slide. very possible wrong hand grip position for me, finally gave up.

A very accurate shooting pistol. Had jamming problems when it was new. Had it repaired for free to stop the jamming...

Every Glock enthusiast should have one of these. Because of the length of the slide/barrel, and being in 9mm, there is virtually no recoil. Very accurate.

My only modern semi-automatic I wanted a reliable 9mm for target shooting.I tend to collect WW2 era handguns,Luger and Colt and worry about breakage on some of these,100 years and older for some.

Shipping was fast, The 17L arrived as promised, undamaged. It is an awesome pistol to shoot, very accurate. I loved this pistol, and I sold it due to needing the cash about 3 years after I bought it, BIG regret...the 17L 3rd Gen is one of the most interesting and fun pistols to shoot in the Glock line. The 9mm has little to no recoil, the velocity you get out of it is close to a .357. If you buy it, keep it in the safe, don’t let go of it. Thanks Buds!!!

It's my house gun. Surefire xc-1, TruGlo tfo sights, and soon enough a Lasermax guide rod laser. Perfect for a home defense gun especially since you can buy the 30 something round magazines for it. I would recommend to anybody NO DOUBT!!!

Awesome gun right from the box, trigger was great and the sights are really good. It's a real joy to shoot, very accurate and easy on the hand. I've shot several different bullet weights and it doesn't seem to make any difference, it shoot them all really well.

Love this gun, accurate for long range practice and the oversized release and size make this one of most fun pistols to shoot.

Another good firearm from glock. Constant trigger that matches the 17, 19 and 34 trigger. No malfunctions after 500 rounds with standard 9mm loads. Fast shipping and transfer. Very happy with this purchase. Fun firearm to own.

Put 150 RDS in paper targets-no FTE/FTF. Functions perfect. Used 115 gr and 125 gr ammo-FMJ and HP. Bud's price was the lowest of other online gun stores and their service was excellent.

Been wanting one of these for awhile and as soon as I saw that Bud's had them stocked I immediately jumped on the opportunity to finally own one of these uncommon, somewhat rare Glocks myself. The 17L shoots like a dream at the range and out in the desert, effortlessly hitting dead center at targets 50 to 100 yards out. Eats up any ammo I've fed through it with absolutely no hangups whatsoever. Not the biggest fan of the giant slide cutout on the top but I can understand the purpose behind it and for that I appreciate it's benefits, that and the extra milling done within the slide, all to make the 17L as light as possible, even lighter than the 17 itself (unloaded). Personally I find it a tad shame that Glock limits the production on these beautiful soft shooting long slide pistols, but it just makes it that much more desirable to own one, and now that I do finally own one myself I'll be cherishing it for a long time.

have wanted one of these for a long time. saw it on Buds and ordered. got here FAST. buds is the best! gun would not cycle. called glock, was advised 115 gr was lite and to try 124 or larger. no help. sent everything in for service. real quick return. now it will run all day with 115 gr ammo. BUT one of the two mags is no good. called glock again a replacement is in the mail. love the gun, glock service is very timely i must ask myself is their quality control up to par? to be fair glock is better than other manufactures i have had service issues with. buy one if you can find it, the longer barrel is fun to shoot. this is my first Glock. if you call Glock a real person will answer and I was NOT on hold at all. everyone I talked to was very nice. a GOOD company to deal with, just dont understand the magazine thing. hard to rate this review, as i said better than anybody else.

Buds service rocks. the Glock 17 L on the other hand, not so much. it is a good gun and with 300 rounds in it i find mine shoots high and to the left, with a sight adjustment this can be resolved. Not as happy as i should be with the groupings on this gun at 50 feet. it shoots good but i have a PPQ that makes this gun look silly. this gun is for the experienced shooter. the long slide makes it susceptible to jams and FTF if you do not know how to grip a gun and hold it properly. it has low recoil so it is very tame. at 50 feet you wont miss but there are better shooting guns for the money.
