Revolver came with a disfigured ratchet on the cylinder. The ratchet was not uniform and looked like it had been hacked at with a screwdriver. It originally wouldn't cycle all 5 chambers. This was remedied by forcibly squeezing the trigger in double action which re-cut and re-formed the ratchet grooves that were misfunctioning. I did this many times until the two trouble spots were made smooth. Days later the catch, that keeps the cylinder from spinning, became stuck under the frame. I had to fish it out.
Other than it essentially breaking twice on me, it functions fairly well. I was surprised at the accuracy of the .45 colt ammo, and the 000 buck Federal .410 handgun ammo has a nice spread at 10-20ft. I would however recommend trying a longer barrel or a different gun if anyone wants to shoot smaller shot. I tried #8 bird shot and it came out of the barrel at almost a 180 degree spread. Meaning, I saw shot hit the ground just a couple feet past my own feet when pointing the gun straight forward. I was hoping to be able to squirrel hunt with it for S's and G's, but I don't think that would be safe after seeing the spread.
