Firstly let me say Bud's did an awesome job.

Now onto the PT 1911. I thought that it would be a good purchased based on a previous purchase of a Taurus revolver. How wrong I was. I have owned it less than a month. This is not my first 1911. I wanted to change the sights, so when I was doing the install I had to drill out the screw that holds the Novak rear sight. I figured that someone had gotten over zealous and thought nothing else about it. The next issue was I had already put about 200 rounds through it and all was fine. After I installed the sights I wanted to make sure I had then sighted in properly, so back to the range. After ten rounds the right side safety lever fell out of the gun. I looked at it was broken. I called Taurus and they said they would send me a prepaid label so I could send it back for repair. I asked why the piece could be sent to me. They said that because the gun has a lifetime warranty the gun had to be sent back. I asked how long it would take they said four to six weeks. I decided to replace the parts myself. The next thing that happened I was back at the range and the mag release breaks. I decided that to be on the safe side I would replace all the internals.

Bottom line I won't be making anymore Taurus purchases.
