Excellent ammunition for the price, very accurate.

Love the shells, they shoot as they are supposed to.

Higher recoil than I was expecting. This bullet flies fast, and ends up hitting the target a few inches higher than the heavier rounds I use for hunting. This is still great target ammo, and I'm using to practice getting on target at further distances past 100 yards.

The Hornady 460 S&W 200 grain Super Shock ammunition is the preferred round that I've tested in my personal 8 3/8" barrel revolver. The Hornady 460 Super Shok ammo has a Flex Expanding Ballistic Tip for hunting purposes too. This ammo is hot but nevertheless safe for the S&W 460 Magnum revolver. The recoil is actually milder than the Federal 454 Casull Vital-Shok Swift A-Frame 300 grain round due to the lighter bullet; however, the 200 grain Hornady FTX is more impressive since it achieves approximately 2200-foot pounds energy at 2200-feet per second. It emits a flame over 12" from the muzzle so it lights up the area. I rate this ammo 5 stars for certain. Buds Gun Shop has the best price I've found anywhere on the 20-round box too.

Bud's was great the last time I bought there, three 20 round boxes of 460S&W mag for $65. Great deal, arrived fast. Now those same boxes of 460 are listed for $6,543.21 a box. Yes, a 20 round box. I would jump on that, but it's out of stock.

I haven’t shot a darned thing with this ammo yet - but paper. But, I have to say, if you own a 460 S&W and want to treat yourself (and the rest of the people at the range) to what a full power 460 load feels and sounds like, these will do the trick. A typical trip to the range for me with this revolver will include a box or so of 45LC, followed by a cylinder of these Hornadys..just to put a big grin on my face. Simply can’t go wrong with these. Yeehaw!

what can u say about hornady lots of options for large caliber handguns shot well out of my 460

I am not an expert on ammunition or ballistics, etc, but this ammo seems to have performed very well. It did not jam in the gun, and it fired consistently, with the desired accuracy and power. It sure makes a bottle of water explode into almost atomic sized pieces!

shoots very nice out my XVR. not sure if I'll use it for hunting yet. really like Hornady ammo. Use it in multiple rifles for different game.

Shoots straight, flat, and is priced right. Hornady rocks.

Great Ammo for the 460 S&W

This ammo consistently shot better than I was able too my sight came loose twice .i was able to split bullet holes at 50 yards gun and ammo was very accurate recoil wasn’t bad but made 44 rem mag feel like a plinker.wear good ear protection.Pierced dually wheel in junk pile that 44 rem mag just splatted on.
