I owned older taurus 24/7 models. The have added some awesome stuff!
First off is the cocked indicator in the back. It sticks out letting you know the firing pin is fully cocked!
For those glock fans, you can know have a staged trigger, striker fired, reliable gun for $300!
Taurus has added a decocker to the 24/7 series. You rack the slide, its fully staged, you fire, it comes back to half cocked and can feel an 8th of an inch reset on the trigger!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Also, you can carry 1911 style without a safety! Rack the slide, puch the safety up past the safety point and it decocks. You are now carrying cocked and locked but with a LONG trigger pull that ensures its only fired when ready! Or you can carry fully cocked with what I say is a 6lb trigger with the safety on or of like a glock or 1911. This gun has it all. 1911 style, glock style, or decocked beretta style.
Finally, and the most awesome......... They did away with the heinie straight eight sights! Mine came new in the box with Heinie 3 dot normal sights and I was hitting 3 inch circles at 7 and 10 yards with cheap $10 federal ammo!
I will be ordering 2 more fore "safe keeping".
Taurus, you won the penant race with this new version of the 24/7! Wouldnt pay same price for a Glock gauranteed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (and have been a fan of glock and owned 35, 19, 23, 27, and 31)
