A little less than I expected. The wood is straight-grain walnut with knots, the barrels are nicely blued until you get to the dangerous end, where they look like they were chopped after bluing and then buffed on the ends, creating a half-inch of lighter bluing that shows in any light and almost looks like a home-job. The break-action is very stiff, and the lever does not return to center after the action is locked, it only partially returns because it feels bound-up. It has a nice look otherwise, but given the chance to go back in time I would not buy it for over $800. I'll see what I can do to loosen up the action, but I won't be spending money for better wood or bluing at the barrel ends.
